I am a comic book fan and a comic book movie fan. I'll get down to it and say that I read DC but growing up my brother read Marvel. We shared each others books it was great. We had a common interest and enjoyed the knowledge each other had on the others universe.
I like to believe that most people on this site are the same way. you may lean one way or the other but ultimately your a fan to the core.
There is a difference between the DCCU and the MCU which has caused a lot of contention on this site. Disney is kind to there younger audience. They are making films that are marketable for families and are able to push merchandise very well. It is what they do. This shouldn't be a reason to discredit them. They are entertaining and they tell good stories. I would never hesitate to let my daughter watch a marvel movie. We both enjoy them. WB on the other hand has created a universe that is ultimately not kid friendly. My daughter has not watched the Batman trilogy and she is definitely not watching MOS (even though Superman and Wonder Woman are her favorite, mine too) There are even certain animated movies from the DCU I wont let her watch. The point is What we have here is two different genres, That we can immerse ourselves in as fans. If DC was copying Marvel and their movie making style, there would be arguments about that, and I would understand that even more than the arguments going on lately on this site.
We should appreciate the different styles of story telling these two companies have taken with their universe. It allows for a greater range of superhero film making. It's allowing for a greater volume of the general audience to want to see these films. All this leads to companies making more money and making more money allows for more comic book films that we as comic fans want to see.
Marvel wouldn't be were it is today without DC, and vice versa.
Lets try to understand one another we stand on common ground.

Yes, but more so. We will continue to see the DCU establish more of the their characters in a realistic "darker" world. I like that that's the direction they went. I thought MOS was great and am looking forward to what DC has to Offer. I know that I will continue to be entertained by Marvel. I had a smile on my face from beginning to end watching Avengers. Love the characters they both have to offer.

I keep up with the story lines and then wait for the novels to come out with the entire storyline. I rarely by single issues. I hate being disappointed but I can stomach through it if the story in its entirety was well done

"Batman titles have only gotten weaker since this 'new'? 52" - fangz

Are you serious? Scott Snyder is probably the most talented writer at DC right now. He's already put out 2 instant classics with Night of the Owls and Death of the Family.
