Can you smell what the Rock is cooking ComicBookMovie.com?! I can and it smells like a new Baywatch film whether you want it or not! On this Friday Dwayne Johnson confirmed via tweet (which is pictured below) that he is involved with Paramount Studios attempt at bringing the cult classic Baywatch (1989 - 2001) on to the big screen. Last Thursday we heard rumblings that directors Sean Anders (Sex Drive (2008)That's My Boy (2012) Horrible Bosses 2 (2014)) and John Morris (Sex Drive (2008)) will be directing the project after Justin Malen (Bad Teacher 2 (2014)) finishes his rewrites on the script. This is not the first time that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has pulled a stunt like this, only a couple months ago one of his tweets furthered the rumors that he will be playing either Captain Marvel, I will never call him Shazam, or Black Adam. Also many other actors like Vin Diesel have been doing this reccently too.

Here is the picture and the transcript of the tweet that started all of these Baywatch rumors:

""This is my beach bitch!" Rumors are true... we're making #BAYWATCH the movie. Edgy, raunchy, and hopefully, funny as hell. Cue slo mo running on the beach... #WhoNeedsMouthtoMouth
#RedShortsBeHugginABrotha"

So what do you think ComicBookMovie.com? I for one hope they attempt to go the 21 or 22 Jump Street route with this film. Do any of you care? Are you interested in seeing those red bathing suits again? Let me know in the comments below!

He's just doing this so that people will quit saying that "Tooth Fairy" was his worst film.

It worked well with 21 Jump Street, so why not? This could be hilarious.

They need to have David Hasselhoff cameo. And Kate Upton for one of the lifeguards.

Maybe it will be a raunchy comedy & give us some good tits & funny jokes. Maybe?
Too bad we don't have any real solid action film heroes any more. Back in the day we had Arnold,Sly,Bruce..even Mel Gibson did some cool action flicks.

Now were stuck with guys who had potential but make a lot of crappy films. The Rock,Vin Diesel..who else?
Those guys have very few real bad ass films. They can't seem to string together any quality films.
Old timers like Liam Neeson & Tom Cruise can but where is the new blood? It's sad really.

I could see Michael Bay doing this film. On another note wasn't Jason Momoa also on this show? It would be interesting to see him and Dwayne team up before they want to destroy each other in Justice League.
