Who is HAVOK?
HAVOK is Alex Summers, usually known as Cyclops' younger brother, but HAVOK is turning out to be his own man, and moving farther away from his brother's shadow. He is a capable leader with powerful plasma blasts that when used, appropriates the name he bears.

HAVOK is a mutant superhero in the Marvel Comics Universe. He first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #54 (March 1969), and was created by Arnold Drake, Don Heck and Neal Adams.HAVOK creates powerful “plasma blasts”, an ability he has had difficulty controlling. He is the son of Corsair, the younger brother of the X-Men’s Cyclops and older brother of Vulcan. He often resents Cyclops’ authoritative attitude and reputation as a model X-Man.In contrast, HAVOK and his longtime love interest Polaris have had a love/hate relationship with the team, often finding themselves roped into it.

CHANGING LOOKS
First Appearance
HAVOK's first costume was created by the man who made the sentinels, Larry Trask. The strange headgear with a special gemstone in its center and special circuits in the costume limited his energy powers to a controllable degree. The pulsating circles on the chest indicate the amount of cosmic energies HAVOK has stored. Although Alex later learned to control his plasma blasts, he continued to wear this outfit for a very long time.

Goblin Prince
After accepting the offer made to him by Madelyne Pryor, the Goblin Queen. HAVOK became the Goblin Prince, and wore this barely there outfit. (I want to move to the next outfit now please).

Siege Perilous
After the event with the Siege Perilous, HAVOK was amnesiac and was manipulated to become a Genoshan Magistrate and received the regular uniform worn by the island nation’s troops.

X-Factor
HAVOK lead the a government sanctioned X-Factor, he was given a new uniform that went along with a blue and yellow team look. HAVOK’s outfit consisted of blue baggy pants, a blue shirt with a huge, yellow X on the chest, a dark leather jacket with an X-symbol over it and gloves.

Megablack
When HAVOK's powers flared up for reasons unknown, He was again forced to wear the black containment suit once more, but without the headgear.

HAVOK Brotherhood
HAVOK got abducted by the Brotherhood and experimented on, he was brainwashed by the Dark Beast. He gets a modified containment suit, with bulky red gloves and red shoulder straps.

Mutant X
HAVOK later on find himself on an alternate universe where he has taken over the body of his counterpart in that universe. HAVOK wears a simple dark blue containment suit with golden belt and armbands.

New Containment Suit
When he get backed to his own universe Alex adopted a sleek black costume with armored elements on his arms, hands and shoulders. This costume featured a skullcap with toned down silver ornamentation that resembled that of his original uniform.

Clunkier Suit
HAVOK soon afterwards switched to a clunkier suit, with silver gauntlets, silver boots and knee pads. This costume retained the modified skullcap from his previous costume and added a large, blue visor made from some form of translucent plexiglas.

Starjammer
HAVOK later formed a new team of Starjammers after the death of his father,Corsair, dedicated to defeating Vulcan, his younger brother who is now Emperor of the alien Shi'ar Empire, and restoring Lilandra to the throne.

LIVE MEDIA
Actor Lucas Till plays HAVOK in X-Men: First Class. HAVOK being a part of the movie's First Class is a big deviation from the comicbook continuity, where his brother Cyclops should be one of the original students of Xavier's schools.

POWERS & ABILITIES
Note: Due to the nature of comicbooks being an on-going tale, the character's powers along with his appearance, is in a constant state of flux.

Ambient Energy Conversion: Havok absorbs ambient cosmic energy into the cells of his body and processes it into plasma. This results in control over an extremely powerful sort of destructive force. At times he is not entirely able to control this ability, which sometimes makes him a danger to those around him unless he wears a special containment suit to assist him.

Plasma Emanation: Ability to shoot or emanate plasma in the form of a blast or discharge, with a tell-tale concentric circle pattern. These waves will emanate from his body in all directions unless he purposefully tries to channel them in a single direction, usually along the length of his arms. This results in control over an extremely powerful sort of destructive force. When Havok strikes an object with the waves of intensity of hot plasma, the sudden vast jump in temperature will often cause objects to shatter, explode, or seemingly disintegrate.

Flight: Havok can also use stored energy for flight by directing it as a downward thrust.

Heat Immunity: Havok is virtually immune to the effects of most forms of heat.

Radiation Immunity: Havok is virtually immune to the effects of most forms of radiation.

AbilitiesIntellectually gifted, Havok is well-educated in the geophysical sciences and has been trained in martial arts by Wolverine.

This is the 36th article in my Know Your CBM Character series. Any requests and suggestions for an article for this series write it down in the comment section BELOW.

Message to the CBM community:To those who are making requests, check first [here] because I might have done an article on the character already. If I have not please be patient, I will get on it as soon as possible (but consider the fact that I spend hours writing one of these articles). Try to limit your request to characters that already have been adapted to live media, so that the feature will at least be relevant to the site – Comic Book Movie(though I include TV characters). Characters in Manga or Anime’, I am not particularly familiar of, I am not discounting these characters but it will probably take some time before I write a feature on them because I have to read up on these characters. Thank you for reading these articles! If there are errors on the feature article above, blame it on my age, humanity and ignorance. Just be sure to check the comment section for the corrections, any error I made will surely be pointed out and corrected by much bigger geeks (because there will always be a bigger geek out there). -This has been PollMaster inviting you to the geekside. MABUHAY CBM and Godspeed!

I liked Megablack with the leather jacket. Too bad it didn't last long. Havok has had some ugly costumes. I hope they revamp the current one too. Maybe it'll be a mixture of the Goblin Prince and the Starjammer costume.

I've always hated Havok. He does nothing but complain...always.

If he isn't crying about living in Cyclops' shadow, then he's crying over Polaris. Cry cry cry...he needs to grow a set...

The better, cooler, and more interesting Summers brother. Erase Cyclops from existence and replace him with Havok.

@MovieTheaterLad

Its not about liking 1 character over the other

Its about this is supposed to be a prequel in the continuity of the X men film so his younger brother was before him ??? righhhhht

and then they made the most important member of the team the leader in to a wimp and killed him off within the first hour of Last Stand

Well done Fox... First Fantastic Four now this !
