Monster on the Set
RDJ on his on-set reputation:
"If it comes to aggressive outbursts regarding creative particulars, I’m a monster! I don’t mean like I act badly or make people feel sh**ty or anything, but I get really wedged up.
"It’s all I’ve got in the day, until I get home to my actual life at home. It’s all I’ve got."
Busted in Japan
RDJ on getting arrested in Japan while promoting Sherlock Holmes:
"I probably should have seen there was a sign that said 'No Felons Allowed' in English and Japanese and I haven't had [my felony] expunged yet. You can actually get things expunged but I've been pretty busy. So I was detained, I was interrogated. It was a blast."
"Clearly I haven't paid my debts to Japan."
Pubbin' it Up
RDJ on hanging out with Guy Ritchie while filming Sherlock Holmes:
"As a matter of fact we did [go to The Punchbowl, Ritchie's pub] and it was always worth it. I don't think I ever knew anybody that had a bar. I had buddies that owned clubs; you know what I'm saying?"
Not a Hippy
RDJ on his son's belief that grandpa was a hippy:
"I had my fu**ing hair spiked up, snorting coke and was fu**ing driving a Porsche. The last thing I was, was a hippy. But my kid thinks he is.
"He was the original and I would not be doing all this if not for him. He had this time when he innovated and was a real auteur, a maverick guy."
