In the past few months, LEGO has come out with a new site called LEGO Ideas where fans can showcase their ideas for a set and gather support for it. If the set is able to acquire 10,000 supporters within ONE YEAR, it will be considered by a board of executives. If they pass it, then it heads to the shelves! A builder on the site known as "NeverBrick" has recently posted his idea! A send up of the classic lair of the Legion of Doom, which you may recall from the comics and TV shows such as The Super Friends and The Justice League!

It includes some of the seminal villains of the Legion, ranging from Lex Luthor to Gorilla Grodd. Most of the villains suggested in the set do not exist yet in minifigure form and would be the ideal addition to any fan's collection!

"What is a hero without a villain? Many times, a hero is defined by his villains. This has been shown several times through comic book and cinematic history. It follows then that in the Lego world there should be a wide range of various villains for our favorite superheroes to face off against.

Unfortunately, this is not so. Out of the 13 Lego DC Villains (not including henchmen), 11 of them are Batman villains. This is not to say that Batman’s villains aren’t cool, indeed, some would argue Batman’s rogue gallery is perhaps the best in all comic book history. But in a world where Lego versions of Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Flash are available to us (Green Arrow, Lantern, and Shazam too, if you’re lucky), shouldn’t there be more villains from their different adventures?

With this in mind, I humbly propose my latest creation, “Meanwhile, at the Legion of Doom!”"

Again, it only has ONE YEAR to gain 10,000 supporters to make this set a reality, so if you're fan of Lego, DC, TV Nostalgia, or just want to add some new villains to your collection, head on over to Lego Ideas and support this awesome project!

@batfleckreturns usually when i see a pic of the actor like that, i get hopeful just because they look a bit like the character...but even with that picture (which is a cool picture) it still feels really really wrong and a really really bad casting choice...

BatfleckReturns - That's true, we have to at least give him a chance before criticizing the poor guy. Despite all the conundrum that's been going on, I'm actually looking forward to his performance as it seems to be a different take on Luthor.

You can LOOK forward to eisenberg's lex but that is what it will be, not comic lex, eisenberg lex. I had the same issue with Heath's joker. It was too original and ended up taking away from the character. What happened to the clown princeof crime? He suddenly decided to burn money although in the comics he routinely uses money to get what he wants. Not saying i didn't enjoy tdk but it was nolan's batman not comics batman. Eisenberg is going to bastardize lex for the sake of creativity because snyder doesn't think comics lex is interesting or hip enough? Fine but still would like to see badass comics lex porttayed accurately in movies. Rosenbaum was closest.
