The past few weeks have been full of Image Comics adaptation announcements, with Prophet being the latest of the bunch. Announced as part of a seven figure deal with the publisher, Studio 8 has tapped a producing team to make a film based on the property a reality.

The film and potential franchise centers on John Prophet, who wakes up early from his frozen sleep, years before his intended mission.

As part of the announcement Prophet will be produced by Adrian Askarieh and Brooklyn Weaver. Also involved is Prophet creator Rob Liefeld, who has been enjoying the past few months due to the success of his other creations, Cable and Deadpool.

Furthermore, John Hyde and Terissa Kelton will also be on board as producers, with John Graham and Guy Donella representing the studio on the film.

As of now there are no writers involved.
