Set 100 years from now after the war between Christians and Satanists, the film is about a Christian warrior priest (Paul Bettany) who disobeys church law by teaming with a young sheriff (Cam Gigandet) and a priestess (Maggie Q) to track down a cult of vampire outlaws that is led by a former Christian and now a Satanic priest, Black Hat, who kidnapped his niece before they brainwash her.




Priest is set to be released on May 13, later this year!

I just don't understand why they had to use vampires. There isn't a single vampire in the book. He's supposed to fight fallen angels. That would be more interesting then ANOTHER vampire movie.

seriously I don't get why they didn't just follow the source material its probably the most easiest manga to adapt for hollywood it was essentially a western horror, Bettany would have made great Ivan, and far as I remember the manga did not have any vampires but oh well I'll probably end up watching this

@Guason I never really expected them to make a faithful adaption of this. I'm mainly pissed at the inclusion of vampires. OF COURSE it has to be vampires.

I never heard of this. But the reason they probably changed it from fallen angels to vampires is cause he already did a movie with angels called Legion
