Describes Deadline, "Based on a Peter Lenkov comic published by Dark Horse, R.I.P.D. is a law enforcement division staffed by dead guys. Reynolds plays a cop who is killed in the line of duty and enlists for the chance to stop his killer. He's partnered with a long dead gunslinger. Script was written by Clash of the Titans scribes Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi, the duo that also scripted Staycation for Warner Bros and The Boys for Sony."

What really has me worried is the bit where it says "the duo also responsible for The Boy for Sony." The Boys, which is from Dynamite comics is BADASS! I am incredibly shocked that the Clash peeps are getting a hold of these projects. Way to ruin the project's reputation. Clash was a huge wet turd that will never be cleaned and one that leaves an awful stench for eternity.

Not interested in REYNOLDS in this, very poor!

Keep to GL and DEADPOOL and leave all the other cbm's alone, its becoming a joke Hollywood using the same actor all the time!

deadpool@ good luck with that. fox will never let any of the characters they own revert back to marvel. when are people going to realize that.

this movie sounds cool as long as they go for an adult vibe and not kidde style like men in black.

Why is there always some argument against an actor playing multiple comic book characters? It's just source material. It's like saying Matt Damon shouldn't have been Bourne and Ripley because they both come from novel adaptations. It doesn't make any sense. It's not like the majority of the people who end up watching this will even care that it's a comic book adaptation anyway.

You know... I like Ryan Reynold but is there a shortage of actors in Hollywood or something?? Why doesn't anyone else get the part???

I'm thinking there like a total of 5 actors in the whole film biz....

frank@ its about the money. right now hes a bankable star. if your gonna put up millions of dollars for a movie your gonna go with a known bankable quantity not an unknown. in a few years it will be someone else. thats the way hollywood works
