More PROMETHEUS Deleted Scenes Featuring Charlize Theron & Idris Elba

The first of these scenes features Prometheus' lovable moronic duo, Fifield (Sean Harris) and Millburn (Rafe Spall). One a geologist afraid of fossils and the other, a biologist grossed out by what appears to be shed skin.

The second deleted scene is actually pretty interesting as Captain Janek (Idris Elba) drops by Meredith Vicker's (Charlize Theron) swanky digs with rum in hand, and a backstory that gives Janek's character some depth.

I finally watched it yesterday and I was kinda disappointed with this film.

The cast was phenomenal, I liked the acting and Noomi Rapace was a great lead.
The characters were just one dimensional though
and there was no unexpected twists and questions weren't even answered, I get they wanna leave intrigued for a sequel, but it was just lazy.

The CGI was amazing though, I was very impressed!

I still liked it, it just didn't really have that 'cleverness' and 'intelligence' I expected. (:

@Cherry, I felt I didn't need all the answers to enjoy it. Also it felt part of a bigger story to me.

A comedy like National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation? Wait what am I talking about? I love the scene in that film when Clark finally gets the exterior house decorations lit and the entire family is outside watching the "miracle." Clark then makes his way down the lineup of relatives taking in their feedback as the camera dollies with him. When he gets to his in-laws: "..the little lights are not twinkling." :P

Janek was great and I like that there's a little more on him. I'll be buying this the day it's out. I almost grabbed the earlybird digital download offer earlier today

To all those defending this film. "Not answering questions" was the least of this film's problems.

Even within the bracket of what little we learned, it was a film that defied common sense and logic at every turn.

I still feel this was a poorly executed film. It was thought out properly, but they couldn't translate it on screen. In my opinion, Mr. Scott used the Alien franchise as a vehicle for an entirely unrelated story. Yes, he could have made it work had he NOT included any sign of a xenobite/Alien creature to begin with. Had he excluded the Alien relationship this film script could have been brilliant. Of course, with a few better actors and better direction it would have been award-worthy. Nevertheless, we're stuck with a story half told, deleted footage, and a another price tag.

I was hoping for their sex scene...

man, i thought it'd be the sex scene between the two. heck, but i should know they CAN'T have that since it would still be taboo in hollywood cinemas. they can't show interracial copulation unless it's the point of the movie. they just can't and won't show it for casual reasons. a shame really.

I felt Prometheus was a beautifully filmed car crash. There were so many plot holes and it really really took me away from the spectacle of what I was expecting. Nothing seemed to have a consequence and for so called scientists, their approach to contamination, isolation and quarantine and psychological profiling on what amounted to a 5 year round trip was appalling.
A real pity because I grew up with the original and was so excited for this.

Prometheus was disappointing lets be honest, but on one hand there's hope as Scott has assured us that this is just part one of a prequel to the first film , the scene where holloway stands outside the big door with the xenomorph picture/carving and says "just another door" gives me hope

However, lets not forget that the story is written by Damon Lindelof who may just end up B.S.ing us all the way through a franchise and dragging us suckers along for the ride.............. like he did with Lost!

only time will tell
