STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER Official Still Provides A New Look At The Knights Of Ren

We've seen quite a bit of these guys in promo and merchandising art, but now thanks to Empire we have a new live-action look at the mysterious Knights of Ren from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker...

On the heels of yesterday's cover reveals, Empire Magazine has debuted a brand new still from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which gives us our best look yet at the Knights of Ren assembled.

We first met the Knights - if only very briefly - in The Force Awakens, but they never got so much as a mention in The Last Jedi. Of course, we know the final chapter in the Skywalker Saga will reintroduce these dark warriors in some capacity, but we're still not sure exactly what role they'll play in the story. It's probably safe to assume they'll serve as back-up to Kylo Ren, but perhaps they'll actually be out for revenge against their former leader?

We'll find out when The Rise of Skywalker concludes this legendary tale on December December 20.

Check out the image below along with the trio of covers, and let us know what you think in the comments.

"Truth is, I just didn’t see a place for them in the movie.”-Rian Johnson, that's just called laziness Rian.

New quote from Abrams on following up Episode VIII

“I never found myself trying to repair anything,” he tells Empire. “If I had done VIII, I would have done things differently, just as Rian would have done things differently if he had done VII. But having worked on television series, I was accustomed to creating stories and characters that then were run by other people. If you’re willing to walk away from the thing that you created and you believe it’s in trustworthy hands, you have to accept that some of the decisions being made are not gonna be the same that you would make. And if you come back into it, you have to honor what’s been done.”

@MUTO123 - I think it's possible to move on from TLJ while pivoting the story at the same time.

@MUTO123 - in hindsight, might have been better for the franchise to have Rian Johnson direct Episode 7 and 9, and Abrams direct episode 8. I imagine the Star Wars fan community wouldn't have become as toxic as it is today if this had happened, and Johnson is clearly a more mature filmmaker than Abrams who prefers to take risks than playing it safe.

After hearing about what Bob Iger said in his autobiography book I must say that I’ve lost all interest in anything that’s Disney’s Star Wars....

I'm still hoping those guys are other force users than got turned/recruited by Snoke and Kylo before the events of TFA

I'm hoping they do something interesting with these guys. As in anything interesting or new or unique to the franchise. I'm not a hater like the rest of the fans, but I am tired of this trilogy.

They should have been in the TLJ. God, Rian Johnson didn't do jack shit to move the story forward. Such a garbage ass movie.

The Knights of Meh, they'll be as relevant as Plasma or Phantasma or whatever her name was, that's how much I care. For me SW ended with ROTJ.
