There's Nothing Jolly About The Amazing And Violent First Trailer For ALIEN: COVENANT
What better way to celebrate Christmas than with an awesome red-band trailer for the latest instalment in the Alien franchise, eh? Seriously, this is going to have you hiding behind your stockings..
The first trailer for Alien: Covenant has been released, and well, it offers up very little in the way of plot details. Sure, there are lots of clues we can attempt to decipher, but the main focus here appears to be making it clear that we can expect to see a movie less like 2012's Prometheus, and a lot more like Alien!
That's evident from the survival horror elements which are on display, including sex in the shower gone horribly wrong! As teasers go, this is very cool (and very violent), but more story info would have been no bad thing, especially after the last muddled prequel we got from Ridley Scott. Maybe next time, eh?
A brief synopsis for the highly anticipated movie was also revealed last year, and it teases: "Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the ‘synthetic’ David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition."
The cast of Alien: Covenant also includes Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Billy Crudup, Noomi Rapace, and Guy Pearce, and as you can see below, it will be released on May 19th.
