At the Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention the brother directors Colin and Greg Strause of Alien vs. Predator: Requiem screened unseen footage before 200 fans.

"This is definitely going to be R-rated," Greg Strause said. "We didn't want to look like we were holding back."

In the footage there was a peek at some new weapons for the Predator and heads were blown off, and aliens popped out of chests.

In talking about the designs for the Aliens they went back to the James Cameron look; "The sleeker back may have looked good while in space, but the ridged back looks better when they're down here on Earth," Colin Strause said.

Previously the Strause brothers used thier special-effects talents on X-Men: The Last Stand, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and Fantastic Four. Alien vs. Predator: Requiem is their feature-film directorial debut.
