The new "Jurassic Park" 5-part title from IDW, "Redemption", continues in September with Issue 3.

The series centers around now adult Lex and Tim Murphy, as both deal with redeeming the name of their late Grandfather, Jurassic Park creator John Hammond. While Lex has taken steps to prevent any more innocents from being harmed by the genetically-engineered prehistoric animals breed on Hammond's Costa Rican islands, Tim has been manipulated into funding an attempt to create a more controllable Prehistoric Preserve at Dinosaur Valley State Park outside Glen Rose, Texas.

As usual in the JP series, all has not gone according to plan; the new park's chief architect, a conniving, shady character who appears to be Peter Ludlow, the antagonist of the second film in the franchise, seems to be intentionally sabotaging the project with the assistance of an unpleasant schmuck named "Dodgson", after the ruthless Geneticist from Michael Crichton's novels. Thus far, a viscous Carnotaurus has escaped and is tearing up the Texan country side, (with attempts to recapture the animal ending in disaster), Dr. Henry Wu, the creator of the original Jurassic Park's animals, has been slaughtered by an unseen predator, and Tim and Lex are now on their way to Texas to investigate just what is going on in the vicinity of the new Dinosaur Park. Issue 3 promises to ratchet the series' excitement level up several notches.

With the exception of the first issue, which was released a week ahead of its announced released date, the series has been running behind schedule; the new installment was set for release on August 25th, but instead should be out around the 8th of this month.
