I'll admit, I had my doubts about Jurassic World going in. It was the 4th movie in a franchise that really only holds one really good film, and two, how could you say, let downs? Well “The Lost World” sacrificed character development for more dino action on the request of a fan letter, and JP3 was not as great as the first, but not as bad as the second. So where does Jurassic World fit in the spectre of the Jurassic Park franchise, and what score will it receive on my scale? Lets find out.

What is different about this movie, is that its predictable. And I'm not spoiling anything, so hold your breaths but, the dinosaurs escape! Shocker right? You have to do yourself a favor seeing this, don't go in thinking “man when will they understand that a park of dinosaurs just doesn't work?” Well that would be the end of the franchise.

STORY: (IN CASE YOU NEVER SAW A TRAILER.....)

Jurassic World has been open for several years and to get attendance to spike they add an attraction every year, and this year they genetically modify a man made created dino. Mix with T-rex and other CLASSIFIED species. Not a good idea right, as the monster escapes, and that's what it is a monster, and the heroes of the story need to get everyone out and kill the new monster.

CHARACTERS:

Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy) plays Owen Grady, an ex Navy Seal who is hired by the park to train raptors, and also make sure their security is good. This might be Pratt's best role besides his role as Star-Lord. The man continues his impressive run as a lead man, and is 100 percent bad-ass in this movie. ALSO personal side note: I don't think anyone can swear better than him.

Bryce Dallas Howard (Spider-man 3, Terminator Salvation)..............is the parks operation manager, this might be the first movie shes in that isn't a let down. Sorry..... shes really good as well, she's also has an interesting relationship with the two kids in the movie. She plays her role well, she needs to keep the park open and understand the stakes that are at hand, but she also is able to handle what needs to be done to save the peoples lives.

Ty Simpkins (Ironman 3) and Nick Robinson (The Kings of Summer) for kids in a monster movie, they aren't bad. Actually their very watchable and relate-able. There were a few cheesy moments between the two, but I don't recall ever wanting them to be eaten.

Vincent D'Onofrio (Daredevil) plays Vic Hoskins, he's the head of security for InGen. And if your familiar with Jurassic Park, you know who InGen is, and he plays the role really well also. He wants to save the park but in a way that is not for the best interests for anyone but himself, the problem is that he is very typical.

Overall the cast plays each role very well and the acting could be considered great.

When I had my doubts of the movie, that lasted up until the opening, when the music started and suddenly I was a kid again, going back to the island and watching dinosaurs once again. The 2 hour 4 minute run time flew by as I was entertained for every minute of it. The CGI does get tiring to look at to be honest. I don't understand how but it's still not as great as the original. Speaking of the original there is a lot of great through backs to the first movie, in particular an entire scene, but I won't spoil that for you. If this were to be the last entry into the Jurassic Franchise I would say that this is a high note, it brings new dinosaurs, great actors, pays homage to the original, learns from the past mistakes and is still a great film. You'll laugh, you'll feel suspense, you'll enjoy the action, and most of all you'll enjoy once again going back to the park. Jurassic World get a solid.......

8/10

It's a damn good movie, for a summer blockbuster and needs to be first viewed in theaters. Also the finally is a JP lovers wet dream. This is what summer blockbusters are made for. Until next time friends, thank you!

hmm, nice and simple review, I usually just aim to watch superhero movies and a couple comedies with my girlfriend when I decide to go to the movies, but if it is almost as good as the original I might get my lazy butt up to go see this flick. Color me excited!

I felt like all the characters did well, yeah, some of them were stereotypical characters but it didn't ruin the film. Characters like Owen Grady were the ones that stood out. I didn't like the oldest kid, and I did think the youngest kid was funny.

There was one scene in the film that, although was dino-epic, was hard to watch: the scene we all seein the trailer where the Pteranodon gets eaten by Mesosaurus, everything that led up to that made me cringe the entire time.

The action was epic and it really had a great suspense feel, all the way till the end where the film really got a little cheesy, but I was having too much fun to let it ruin it for me. It was a great film, definitely a blu-ray buy.
