The recent teaser trailer for Godzilla: Minus One gave us a brief glimpse of the titular Kaiju unleashing his unmistakable roar, but only his head was visible, Now, thanks to some new artwork that was unveiled via official merchandise, we have a much better look at Toho's redesign for the mighty King of the Monsters.
As you can see, very few liberties have been taken with this latest version of the iconic atomic monster, with a look directly inspired by the character's debut in 1954's Gojira.
Though there have obviously been a few alterations (the oversized fins, for example), we can't imagine too many long-time fans having an issue with this latest take on the legendary creature.

This will be Toho's first Godzilla movie since 2016's Shin Godzilla. Information beyond the title is sparse, but we do know that Takashi Yamazaki - the filmmaker who worked on visual effects for Shin Godzilla - will direct the film.
Specific plot details are also still under wraps, but a (very) brief synopsis tells is that Godzilla: Minus One "sees an already devastated postwar Japan facing a new threat in the form of Godzilla."
The movie is set to debut in Japan on November 3, 2023 and in theaters in the US nationwide on December 1, 2023.
