King Kong Unleashes His Rage In Incredible New KONG: SKULL ISLAND Trailer Teasers

A new trailer for Kong: Skull Island will be released on Wednesday, and based on the two new teasers below, it's going to do a lot more than just hint at the titular beast. Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts has already said that the movie will approach his appearances much differently to how Gareth Edwards handled Godzilla, and that's clearly something which will be the case in the marketing campaign too.

In these brief videos, we get to hear King Kong's roar and see him effortlessly tear a helicopter from the sky. The movie's "heroes" will clearly need a lot more firepower than that if they hope to take him down, though with a crossover with Godzilla already planned, chances are that this Kong isn't going to be falling from any tall buildings (but mostly because he's very nearly the same size as them).

The impressive cast of Kong: Skull Island includes Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, John Goodman, and John C. Reilly, and it’s currently set to be released worldwide on March 10th, 2017.

So... if King Kong has no chance of dying in this movie given the planned sequel with Godzilla... the movie's basically just going to be a destruction fest where we root for King Kong to destroy things?

Eh... i suppose its a nice popcorn flick - but if they were going to go the route of clearly planning to crossover with Godzilla at some point, why even bother with this very basic origin story. Should just be a Godzilla sequel where he fights Godzilla.

Unless of course there is a surprise monster for King Kong to fight in this movie... i think they teased a giant spider-like being in the trailers (Around 50 seconds in) but i hope we get a fight between King Kong and some massive beast or something.

I love the new design for King Kong and how it pays homage to the classic version.

Still see no way Kong can even last 2 seconds of screen time against Godzilla ...is that project even still running? lol

Need some questions answered. What time period does this movie take place in? If modern times, then did the event in New York ever happen?

They should NOT call a future film King Kong VS Godzilla (or vice versa)...which is not to say that the two characters should not be in the same universe. It is just that it is a sensational title that cheapens the film. It would be like calling Captain America Civil War...Iron Man versus Captain America.
