A new poster has been released for Prey, the latest entry in the Predator franchise. The Hulu Original arrives on the streaming service on August 5, and will be available on Disney+ globally. It's a stunning piece of imagery, and one that teases what looks set to be an epic battle between the hunter and hunted.
Film fans in San Diego were treated to an advance screening of the movie at Comic-Con last night, and that was followed by a Q&A with Amber Midthunder, Dakota Beavers, Dane DiLiegro, director Dan Trachtenberg, and producer Jhane Myers.
Next week, you'll want to keep a close eye on SFFGazette.com as we'll be sharing our own interviews with the cast and crew of the movie. Those include intel on a possible sequel, original plans to keep the Predator's role a secret, and a breakdown of some key scenes. We'll also have a review for you, though the social reactions below will give you an early idea of our thoughts!
Prey tells the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior who has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains.
So when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.
The movie is directed by Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane), written by Patrick Aison (Jack Ryan), and also stars newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp (Sooyii), Michelle Thrush (The Journey Home), Julian Black Antelope (Tribal), and Dane DiLiegro (American Horror Stories) as the Predator.

As we mentioned, the poster is accompanied by the first reactions from critics. The movie is receiving a lot of praise and all signs point to Prey being the best Predator movie since the original (it may, in fact, be even better).
