Hilarious "Honest Trailer" For STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT Will Make You Miss The Originals

Hilarious "Honest Trailer" For STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT Will Make You Miss The Originals

While there's no denying the fact that Star Wars: Battlefront is a lot of fun, it's also a pretty massive disappointment, especially as it leaves out so much of what fans loved about the earlier instalments. Thankfully, the "Honest Trailers" team have summed it up in hilarious fashion...

Star Wars: Battlefront is visually stunning and epic, but it's also pretty repetitive and lacking in game modes. As awesome as it is to kill Rebel scum while protecting an AT-AT (because who wants to play as anything other than a Stormtrooper?), the first new gen Star Wars game is lacking in a lot of areas, and this "Honest Trailer" picks it apart in an appropriately hilarious way. Agree? Disagree? Check out the video below and then be sure to hit the comments section with your thoughts.

It's good though not sure if accusing it of being Battlefield with a Star Wars Skin. At least Battlefield has Classes and actual vehicular combat lol.

The thing that was great about the last one was the space battles where you could fly on the enemy ship and blow up their engines and shield generators. That game was amazing, this one a disappointing follow up.

In my defense, spideymania26 told me to aim for his lower back.

I hate how unbalanced Han Solos blaster is literally everyone uses it

It wasn't very hard thanks to his Taco Bell tramp stamp.

Thank god I paid next to nothing for this. $60 for a multiplayer-only game with a fraction of content is ridiculous. And I'm okay with the Battlefield-flavored gameplay but I miss the space battles.

"It's a good game, but I find the lack of content disturbing."

Exactly.

This video is pretty spot on with the gripes, though I still do enjoy playing the game frequently, just not for long stretches of time. I don't know if I'm just bored with the few games types or That for instance, in heroes vs. villains, the heroes almost always win.

Or for example: when I play destiny for six hours straight and my ass gets numb, it only feels like I've played for an hour or two, cuz there's just more to do... I don't know.

Also, as someone else mentioned, Han Solo's blaster needs a serious downgrade. It's much too powerful and you don't have a chance in hell vs someone using it, when you have literally any other gun. They really need to separate the guns power more evenly, so when you earn a rank up...it's actually worth getting.

Just my two cents. Maybe this game will become what destiny is now...fantastic!! Cuz I feel like a lot of what everyone is bitching about Battlefront is similar to what originally was said about destiny. Here's to hoping... Cuz let's face it, I'm gonna buy the season pass cuz battle of jakku is pretty solid and I'm guessing the new maps will include more jakku and other locations, maybe even outer space battles at the Death Star or something similar.

The game is a lot of fun.

My 2 only gripes:
- not spawning inside vehicles, the whole powerup token thing seems a bad gameplay decision to make the game "more available" to everyone (AKA lazy ass noobs).
- not enough teamplay, as in Battlefield (squads and classes would be SO welcome).

The single-player thing... honestly I don't really care.
The Space battles... I'm pretty sure they're coming in some DLC along with new game modes like BF4's Carrier Assault.
The "1-hit you die" or "12 seconds your x-wing is down"... Sorry but you just suck. I hear similar crap about Battlefield and that's simply not true. Once you get the hang of things it's very satisfactory.

Oh, and yes, EA's grabbing huge easy cash with DLC's. But unfortunately they're not the only ones. That's how the industry is nowadays :

The game is pretty good but frustrating as well,if that makes sense.Maybe EA will release a campaign mode for the fourth expansion pack.

Sigh, I tried the Beta and all I can say they somehow managed to turn one of the IMHO coolest part of the movies, the dogfights, into utter crap, the predefined evasive manouvers in particular are something so utterly wrong it left me speechless.

Well, at least I still have Tie Fighter, goraud shading might not be as pretty as HD textures but at least there you really feel like you are flying a starfighter and not some sluggish thing that requires lock-on autoaim to be remotely useful.

EA could do a X-wing vs Tie Fighter remake with a fraction of the money spent on Battlefront and sell us campaign DLCs based on the other games in the series and other based on the new movies (after all the only game of the series without expansions is the last, X-wing Alliance, so nothing new), hell, I'd buy it at day one but it seems that EA doesn't do midbudget games anymore, only bloated AAA stuff that's dull shallow crap nine times out of ten.

I'd be content even with a Rogue Squadron 3D remake or a port of the sequels on PC, they were more arcade-y but still good.

Sigh.

Oh, well, off to blast some rebel scum or scuffle with the bucketheads, hoping it will make me forget the current state of Star Wars games at least for a while.

@Jollem

The fact that we can't get inside vehicles whenever we want is also the worst the ever.

All they had to do was make Battlefront 2 again.

I just want another Jedi Knight game. That was the best Star Wars video game franchise ever made.
Better than Battlefront, better than KOTOR, better than Force Unleashed.
