Kate Mara To Make The Leap From THE FANTASTIC FOUR To STAR WARS?

We heard yesterday about a number of actresses being eyed for the lead female role in Gareth Edwards' Star Wars spinoff, and it now appears as if Kate Mara (House of Cards) is also testing for the role, possibly reuniting her with The Fantastic Four writer Simon Kinberg...

It was reported yesterday that Felicity Jones, Tatiana Maslany, and Rooney Mara were all set to test for the lead female role in Gareth Edwards' 2016 Star Wars spinoff. However, it now appears as if we can add another name to that list. Rooney Mara's sister and House of Cards star Kate Mara!

That would make a lot of sense, especially as she will have more than likely struck up a working relationship with Star Wars Rebels writer and producer Simon Kinberg (he's working on Josh Trank's 2018 spinoff and possibly this one too following Gary Whitta's departure) on the set of The Fantastic Four. Mara will play Susan Storm/The Invisible Woman in that controversial movie.

There are still no plot details, but it's believed that it will focus on a group of bounty hunters hired by the Rebels to steal the plans of the first Death Star. That's still just a rumour at this point.
