Rare STAR WARS BTS Images Show Playing YODA Is So Easy Even A Monkey Can Do It, Or Not
The website, movies.com, has posted two rare behind-the-images from Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back featuring a trained monkey attempting to play the role of Yoda. Check this out!
Today I learned, that before the Jedi master Yoda (performed by Frank Oz) puppet was designed and built by Stuart Freeborn (Jim Henson consulted) for Empire Strikes Back, the plan was to use a monkey wearing a Yoda mask. They even trained the monkey to use Yoda's cane. The plan was scrapped when the monkey kept pulling the mask off.
