Today I learned, that before the Jedi master Yoda (performed by Frank Oz) puppet was designed and built by Stuart Freeborn (Jim Henson consulted) for Empire Strikes Back, the plan was to use a monkey wearing a Yoda mask. They even trained the monkey to use Yoda's cane. The plan was scrapped when the monkey kept pulling the mask off.
