Snoke is Vader: In my flawed opinion and prose.

I'm a terrible writer and low on brain cells. If this makes any sense... Maybe somebody else can run with it. But yeah... I think Snoke is Vader.

So here's my theory.. Originally Snoke was intended to be Plagues.  Then JJ decided the new trilogy needed a big twist.  They jettisoned the original design, (hence the different look in concept art) and decided to make him Vader.

Vader didn't die in ROTJ.  Luke secretly saved him and and together they started a new Jedi training place thingy.  Vader in the background, operating in the shadows type stuff.   Dad is still kinda dark side and still believes in bringing order to the Galaxy.  He goes back to his old ways and seduces young Ben Solo to the dark side.  They betray Luke.  Luke feels responsible for failing as a Jedi teacher and for being fooled by his father.  He goes into hiding.  30 years of dark side force use turns Vader into this:

So yeah... First and last article.  Just a thought.

Snoke is PALPATINE!!!!!. We saw Vader die and become a ghost. We also saw Palpatine's energy escpape the reactor. Before the second Death Star exploded. It makes no sense for it to be Plageious...why would he wait so long to strike...Palpatine became emperor before Luke was born...so that would mean Plageious waited over 30 years not even counting the over hundred years the Jedi were in power. It would perfectly explain why he would build essentially another Death Star.

And how exactly does Snoke not need the full body respirator like Vader did?

I don't think he's Plagueis either. Plagueis was said to have been able to master death and keep people from dying, but how could he do that to himself after he's already dead? Sidious killed him after all....

@corndogburglar. I chalk that up to the miracle that is science... in a galaxy far, far, away.

I don't think it will be Plagueis, simply because they seem to be trying to disitance themselves from the mythos of the PT.

I also don't see it being Vader, or Anakin, considering we saw his Ghost at the end of Return of the Jedi.

Palpatine on the other hand could be possible, but again, with all the stuff that they have rehashed in this film, and the criticism they are getting for doing so, I don't see them bringing him back either.

I think it's far more likely that he is just a band new character. But that's just my 2 cents.

I don't see it. It would completely undo Vader's development in RotJ.
