Star Wars: Forces of Destiny explores a variety of different stories from all across the saga's timeline. A brand new short, entitled "Bounty Hunted", reveals that Maz Kanata (who debuted in The Force Awakens) played a key part in Return of the Jedi's plan to rescue a frozen Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt.

The short depicts Boushh interrupting Maz and Leia's meeting. After Leia and Chewie make quick work of the bounty hunter, Maz has the idea that Leia could make good use of Boushh's armor. This armour would eventually help her gain access to Jabba's palace, as seen early on in Return of the Jedi.

While the short might not bring with it any saga-changing revelations, it helped shed light on Leia's backstory in addition to cementing Maz's role in the overall galaxy.

What do you think about Maz being further established within Disney's reboot of Star Wars' lore?
