STAR WARS: J.J. Abrams, Mark Hamill & Daisy Ridley Snapped Near Kerry Set

Though not actually pictured filming scenes for Star Wars: Episode VII on Skellig Michael off the coast of Kerry, the trio were spotted nearby. Now that it's been confirmed that Ridley is shooting there, it gives way to interesting speculation as to what these scenes will entail..

Star Wars: Episode VII has concluded its 3-day shoot in County Kerry, Ireland. Director J.J. Abrams flew into Kerry on Monday with about 15  members of the cast and crew, and were then driven to Portmagee to stay in a hotel in Waterville. Though some of the crew were snapped from a distance setting up on the island of Skellig Michael, nobody was able to get a pic of Mark Hamill or any other cast members in costume, shooting scenes. But, we do have the below images taken around Waterville. The fact that Hamill and young British actress Daisy Ridley (believed to be playing Luke Skywalker's niece) were reportedly the only two main cast members present, has led to speculation that the Island will be used as the planet/location where Luke has been in self imposed isolation, and where he will be found again by Ridley's character.

Poor Luke never had a look of his own after the first two movies.

In this film he's being made to look like Ben Kenobi and in Return of the Jedi he was made to look like his aunt Beru..

Been waiting a loooooooong time for this. Even when Lucas himself said there would be no more, somehow i knew there would be more Star Wars.

Hopefully Harrison Ford had lipo on his fat face before filing SW7. It was a horrible site in Expendables 3.

Are they at a hostel? I know there are hundreds of thousands of stone walls in Kerry, but Christ that looks a lot like the hostel we stay at when my youth club's down in Kerry.

Guardians Of The Galaxy might be a good movie but will it be a big deal in 30 or 40 years? Will the original cast be teaming with a new cast then?

The answer in NO! So it's not the next Star Wars.

@TyrantBoss Star Wars kinda broke ground on the last undiscovered country. There had been space related stories but none with such imagination or such grand context.

There really can't ever be another Star Wars. Lucas popped the cherry of space-operas in 77. It's not virgin territory anymore.
