Star Wars: Battlefront was a fun game, but the lack of a story mode disappointed many fans. So too did the fact that the action revolved squarely on the original trilogy, especially as it was released shortly before Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Of course, as time went on, a fair bit of new content was added, and even Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was ultimately included as DLC for online players.
The first trailer for Star Wars: Battlefront II was supposed to debut later this week as part of Star Wars Celebration, but it's leaked online early and features some downright huge reveals from the game
For starters, we now know that the story will revolve around a female Stormtrooper and it's set in the gap between the events of Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. The trailer also confirms that players will be able to get their hands on everyone from Yoda to Darth Maul and Kylo Ren, something which likely means online maps will explore pretty much every era of the beloved franchise.
