The beginning of Terminator: Genisys, the first of three planned films that Paramount hopes will relaunch the beloved sci-fi franchise, is set in 2029, when the Future War is raging and a group of human rebels has the evil artificial-intelligence system Skynet on the ropes. John Connor (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ Jason Clarke) is the leader of the resistance, and Kyle Reese (Divergent‘s Jai Courtney) is his loyal soldier, raised in the ruins of post apocalyptic California. As in the original film, Connor sends Reese back to 1984 to save Connor’s mother, Sarah (Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke), from a Terminator programmed to kill her so that she won’t ever give birth to John. But what Reese finds on the other side is nothing like he expected.

The film hits theatres July 1st, 2015.

Im afraid this movie will have the same luck as the Robocop reboot. decent boxoffice, but not enough to start a new franchise

Does anyone feel like the Terminator franchise should have ended at T2?

I want this to be good but ugh. If the rumored spoilers are true... I'm going to be so disappointed. Why not just continue the damn war post Salvation?!

I guess we'll see how this movie turns out. I thought Salvation was okay, the thing was that it didn't have the spark that the first two did but it wasn't bad. The thing that I'm a little worried about with this one is them messing with the timeline of the first movies, doesn't really seem necessary and seems more like an excuse to milk the franchise. At least Arnie's involved this time around.

No. It's a thing. We have parties and shit 4 nights a week. I physically can't do it man. I also can't afford the cab bill. So I limit my calories and don't drink during the last month and a half of the year. It is [frick]ing stupid and I consider chugging my mouthwash, but whatever.

Pizza. Details. Now.
