Fans are still anxiously awaiting some official footage from Terminator: Dark Fate, but it doesn't look like they're going to have to hold out too much longer.

Director Tim Miller has shared a new image via the movie's official Twitter page, and it gives us a teasing glimpse of the returning Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) sporting a rocket launcher. The post comes with an assurance that the trailer is "just weeks away," so hopefully we'll get a more specific update soon.

In the meantime, check out the badass pic below along with the first batch of officially released stills.

"Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (T-800) return in their iconic roles in Terminator: Dark Fate, directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) and produced by visionary filmmaker James Cameron and David Ellison. Following the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator: Dark Fate also stars Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta."

@MexCowboyNation - not sure how they pull that off with linda being 30 years older, but hey, thats movie time travel for you!

Really with cameron back it gives me hope. T-2 was my favorite movie growing up I'm crossing my fingers for a good one

I hope this one is good for the fans' sake. I think they lost me during Salvation though. I just haven't cared enough in a long time and can easily live without it, I don't think this is my franchise.

I need to hear at least 5 people I trust tell me that this movie's good before I go see it in a theater.

Maybe they'll FINALLY get this right?

At least they've got Sarah Conner back. It was really always her story, not Johns.

Good lord, can Hollyood just come up with new franchises instead of recycling ones from the 70s and 80s? 60s if you count Planet of the Apes.

@soberchimera - when they do no one goes to support them.

@MexCowboyNation - people would if they were good, the last original story i can remember was Jupiter Ascending which totally reeked

@soberchimera - I 100% agree. But I think what they are thinking might be “it’s better to reuse properties that have name recognition, than it is to start one that might get criticized for being too similar to already known franchises”. That is, since soooooo many movies and ideas have already been done. Idk, I wish it would stop too. For every decent remake, you get several more shit takes.

I guess if this one somehow bombs and isn't what the fans want, they'll be forced to put it on the shelf for some time. This really isn't long at all after Genysis and that was supposed to be a gamechanger.

@SpideyPuffsMJ - Yes. Remember, Genysis was supposed to be the start of a new trilogy and look how that turned out. 🤣

Movie studio: "Do you wanna see a 62 year old Linda Hamilton in this movie holding a bazooka?"

@MUTO123 - That would of been interesting if that happened but i'm glad he turned it down if he did not have the passion for it.

@MUTO123 - Good. He would have stretched the story for one movie, into 3 movies. But this time instead of a lot of walking and running, they’d be swimming.
