A film adaptation of Valiant Comics' Harbinger was previously set up at Paramount Pictures, with X-Men: The Last Stand director Brett Ratner attached to helm. However, the project wa stalled at the studio due to rights issues, and according to Variety, Valiant Entertainment Group will be making the adaptation themselves. Stephen Susco, who most recently wrote Texas Chainsaw 3D and originally developed Harbinger for Paramount, has been hired to write the script. The site says that the film is still "a potential directing vehicle" for Ratner. Instead of having a studio develop the project, Valiant "sought financing and was given a capital infusion from private investment company Cuneo & Co. and partnered with former Marvel CEO and vice chairman Peter Cuneo to relaunch and independently develop their library of over 1,500 titles." Alexandra Milchan and Jay Stern will produce with Valiant Entertainment Group CEO Jason Kothari and chief creative officer Dinesh Shamdasani. A dark modern twist on superhero mythology, the Harbinger comic book series follows Pete Stanchek, a teenager-turned-superhero and his battle with a equally powerful industrialist. The series was created by Jim Shooter.

Well I for one would prefer not to see this come to the big screen. If Brett Ratner is involved. I have seen many of his films. I will be nice & just say they don't work.

I had almost the same comment that hope420 said lined up till I read that and can't agree more. Having Rattner attached to ANY CBM is almost like having Joel Schumacher attached which means, the answer is a "No."

One of my favorite Valiant titles back in the day...with a despicable director today.
