It's always fun to speculate about what might come next for certain characters introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and based on how Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings wrapped up, it's clear there are big plans for Razor Fist. At the head of the new Ten Rings alongside Xialing, the future looks bright for this villain, but after pushing Shang-Chi to his limits, who's next?
Pointing out some of the epic battles Razor Fist has had on the page with the likes of Captain America and Daredevil, we asked Florian exactly that during a recent interview about his new Training Program.
Just like in the comic panel above, it turns out he's excited to potentially battle Wolverine. However, when we also mentioned Razor Fist eventually losing his other hand and wielding two blades, the boxer turned actor was quick to point out some of the impracticalities that would arise from this.
"[Laughs] Definitely hard when it comes to your daily routines. Speaking as a character, I don’t know how Razor Fist goes to the toilet now, but speaking from a fighting perspective, two blades look amazing," he joked. "My dream matchup would be if Razor Fist were to potentially lose his other hand, I’d love to see him against Wolverine. The battle of the blades. That would be amazing."
"We, as actors, always have different fantasies of where we could lead the character and what the path is for them. Since, in the MCU, everything is possible, maybe you can add some cool gadgets to the one arm. Maybe it’s not only a blade, maybe it’s something more because it’s evolving. We’ll see what happens. The other characters you named are super interesting to me. I’m obviously a huge Captain America fan and Daredevil was one of my favourites when I was a kid, so let’s see."
Florian concluded by saying "it's a bright future" for Razor Fist, and while he's likely to remain part of the Ten Rings for the time being, we're sure he could be sent after some of the MCU's other heroes. Given what a legit badass "Big Nasty" is, Marvel Studios would be wise to pit him against as many of their good guys as possible, as the results will be some downright awesome fight scenes.
Florian will next be seen in Borderlands, and you can read more about his role as Krieg right here.
