We've been waiting for what feels like forever but earlier today, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios finally released the first trailer and poster for Spider-Man: Far From Home

It serves as an amazing sneak peek and while it's still a far cry from the Spider-Man of old (where's The Daily Bugle?), it's clear that the wall-crawler is in good hands with Kevin Feige and company. That fishbowl helmet Mysterio is wearing is proof of that, and the teaser also shows off Spidey's new suits along with the mysterious Elementals.

All of that and more is included in this gallery of hi-res screenshots from the trailer, and if you thought Spider-Man: Homecoming was amazing, then it seems as if this spectacular follow-up is really going to deliver
as the first entry in Phase 4 following the release of Avengers: Endgame.

There are actually four elementals and not three as we thought. Earth, Fire, Water, and Lightning. So I don't think it's gonna be just Hydro-Man, Sandman and Molten Man.

Mysterio looks awesome.

I can't believe they got one of my favorite actors to play one of my favorite villains.

Surreal.

The trailer certainly got me interested in the globe trotting adventure. I was on the fence on it (still am to an extent) but am definitely more on board.

Loving the look of Mysterio and also the new suits look great. As much as I really liked Homecoming, two weaknesses were the CGI polish and the action sequences so hopefully this sequel is stepping up its game in those departments.

@MrDandy - speaking of CGI... they need to increase the shadow of parker on the roof. the one coming over the edge is a fairly hard shadow and the one squatting on the roof is way too soft and light making it look fake.

I'm kind of excited about it, but the CGI looks to be a real problem again. Why can't they just go for a more practical take in most scenes?
Other than that, it looks a bit interesting. Hoping it's good.

A great looking trailer, but doesn't have a proper hook. As I always say, the third trailer is always the best (Man of Steel, Captain Marvel etc.)

@MarkV - True, but unfortunately third trailer also usually spoils the most, which is why I rarely watch them.

I'm very curious what reasons they give for all the costume changes. But regardless Mysterio looks f**king perfect. Absolutely amazing how Marvel is able to adapt comic book costumes in a totally accurate, and dare I say, "grounded" way. Amazing. All it takes is a little imagination. Can't wait for this movie!

That trailer just felt so much like a spider man movie to me. It looks like they took the criticisms from homecoming and fixed them.

- Spider-man swinging in the city.

- Spider-man being more of a public hero

- Uncle Ben mention

- More of a comic book feel in general

@CurlyBill - I see that too. I was a lil let down by Homecoming but I could see this being better. Just hoping the CGI is a little better. The lines in his suit not being raised makes it look a lil off to me. I’m excited though. Mysterio looks perfect. Interesting to see if Pete grows more into a solo act and better hero
