Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was originally set to be released this October, so it's no wonder that merchandise for the movie has started finding its way into stores.

Recently, we got a first look at Scarlet Spider, and amidst reports that Spider-Punk will be in the movie, that web-slinger has also been revealed. Hobart Brown has a stylised appearance that suggests the visuals featuring the character will be off the chain as he rocks out while heading into action.

In the comic books, Hobart was bitten by a spider that had stumbled into radioactive waste dumped by President Norman Osborn. This Spider-Man would become a symbol of anarchy on his world and led a Spider-Army to fight back against the villain's oppressive regime.

While he has a comic book history, the other character revealed here does not.

Cyborg Spider-Woman has been created specifically for this movie, though is at least somewhat inspired by Cyborg Spider-Man. However, rather than featuring just a few cybernetic enhancements, the woman in that costume is decked out with all sorts of armour and weaponry. We know a pregnant Jessica Drew will be in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, so perhaps she's in the suit?

Whatever the case may be, this movie looks like a lot of fun. Hopefully, a trailer will be released before the end of the year, and we'd be shocked if some sort of sneak peek isn't attached to Spider-Man: No Way Home when it returns to theaters next month.

In the movie, Miles returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga for an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is currently set to be released in theaters on June 2, 2023.

I really look forward to seeing Spider-Punk, and especially how they're gonna make him and all his moves look in this animation style. Same with Cyborg Spider-Woman I guess

You know I was going to mention this in a previous thread about Spider-Man 2099 in this new Spidey movie, and personally I wish that they had stuck a little closer to the original SM:2099 design. For me it's pretty iconic, as SM:2099 came out right when I was in the height of my comic collecting at the end of high school and that costume design along with the alternations to his abilities (like the talons and such) was just such a departure from the traditional Spidey costume and abilities that I just fell in love with it. Along with the origin of the suit (I can even remember without looking it up that it is made of some type of special non-tearing molecular material something something that Miguel got from a Dia De Los Meurtos party or something), and I just loved the look of the skull designs and the web cape. So it's kinda disappointing that they seem to be ditching the cape and simplifying the eyes while also extending the forearm thingies. I don't mind the addition of the red to break up the blue throughout, but I kinda wished that they had left the rest alone. Dunno. Just my take.
