Spider-Man: No Way Home promises to be one of the most ambitious, craziest Marvel Studios films ever released. The excitement continues to increase, thanks in part to what feels like an endless series of rumors and bold claims about what fans can expect from the threequel.

Over the past week or two, we've seen another big influx of rumors and even a resurfaced plot leak that appears to have now been proven correct by both the trailer and recent interviews.

A second sneak peek appears to be imminent, but for now, we're left to delve into these latest claims to try and figure out whether they're the real deal (and we really hope they are) or not. There's a lot here that makes for interesting reading, including possible details on one of the post-credit scenes.

Throw in intel on what brings those other Spider-Men to the MCU, a key scene involving a certain web-slinger, and fresh details on the villains, and you'll find plenty to get excited about here!

8. "With Great Power..."

8r98944ewq

A sticking point (no pun intended) for many MCU fans has been Marvel Studios' failure to in any way mention that all-important "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" mantra the comic book Peter Parker holds so dear.

Until now, Uncle Ben has only been directly referenced in What If...?, but it's now said that the iconic line will be said twice during the course of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The first time from Aunt May (which prompts Tobey Maguire's web-slinger to recall his uncle also saying it), while the second comes from that same Peter Parker Variant.

It won't be reworked in any way and is said to feel "earned" rather than shoehorned in for the sake of it. It's about time this line was used in the MCU, and we can't help but wonder what sort of lasting impression it will leave on Tom Holland's Spidey.

7. Matt Murdock's Minor Role

8r98944ewq2

Are you hoping for a massive Spider-Man/Daredevil team-up in this film? Well, prepare to be disappointed.

It's said that Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock will only appear for a single scene (it is, however, described as a "memorable" one). The lawyer is responsible for clearing Peter's name after he's accused of murdering Mysterio and attacking London, but that reportedly does little to salvage the teenager's reputation. Like OJ, it seems not everyone is convinced of Spidey's innocence.

Cox doesn't suit up as Daredevil and there's no sign of Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Hopefully, this cameo leads to bigger things down the line for the Man Without Fear as many fans have high hopes for the character's true MCU debut.

6. The Woman In The Car

In the closing moments of the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, Peter Parker is attacked by Doctor Octopus in the midst of a conversation with an unknown female character.

There's been a lot of speculation about her identity, including the possibility she's MJ's mother. Apparently, that's not the case, and she actually works for MIT. Peter, MJ, and Ned all attempt to get into the prestigious college, but the negative publicity surrounding Spider-Man means none of them are wanted there (or seemingly anywhere for that matter seeing as Peter is a suspected murderer).

This is likely why he pleads for Doctor Strange's help in the first place. In this scene, however, Peter is trying to convince the MIT representative to change her mind, at least where his friends are concerned.

5. Mystery Fourth Character

8r98944ewq21e

Tom Holland recently said that he was left in awe by a scene involving Peter, Aunt May, Happy Hogan, and a mystery fourth person. According to the actor, "It’s four people sitting at a table, having a conversation about what it’s like to be a superhero, and it was amazing."

Now, it's said that the character is, in fact, Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker. Both him and Andrew Garfield will reportedly have lead roles once they swing into the film, and they'll contribute more than just being part of what sounds like an epic final battle involving the three Spider-Men.

This older Peter reflecting on what being a superhero has done to him and his life promises to be fascinating and should be a fun way to catch up with the original big screen Spider-Man.

4. Sinister Six Five

8r98944ewq21e1

We were hoping Spider-Man: No Way Home might deliver a live-action Sinister Six, but Rhino's inclusion alongside Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Electro, The Lizard, and Sandman always felt a little weird. Now, it's been reported that while there may have once been tentative plans for the brutish supervillain, that's no longer the case.

Rhino is mentioned by Garfield's Spider-Man a few times, but he won't make his way into the MCU. It's possible he could appear in flashbacks, but that feels like wishful thinking at this stage. The Vulture is also only mentioned by name, but each of the bad guys we do see get to play a significant role rather than just being there for the three-web-slingers to beat up.

Interestingly, it's said that Mysterio will make a cameo appearance of some sort. There's no word on what that would entail, but we're banking on him somehow being responsible for all this.

3. Sling Ring Surprise

8r98944ewq21e13

Apparently, Tobey and Andrew will first show up in Spider-Man: No Way Home's second act. They supposedly come into play about an hour into the film, but who connects them with our Peter Parker?

Ned! It's said that the teenager uses one of Doctor Strange's Sling Rings to track the two Variants down, but not in their respective realities. Instead, they were also dragged into the MCU by the Sorcerer Supreme's botched spell, and it's Peter's friend who manages to unite them with Spidey after he's been overwhelmed by the combined might of Doc Ock and company.

As for why they didn't look for Peter sooner, it sounds like they weren't in New York until Ned finds them. It does all sound a tad convenient, but hopefully works a little better within the context of the film.

2. Black & Gold Suit

8r98944ewq21e133

Have you been desperately attempting to figure out why Spider-Man dons a black and gold costume? Well, it's as simple as many fans suggested when those toys were first revealed: Peter Parker simply turns his suit inside out and what we're seeing is the inner workings of his Upgraded suit.

That comes after someone who believes Mysterio was a hero murdered by Spider-Man throws green paint all over Spidey shortly after he manages to apprehend a robber with his webbing.

This matches that packaging for a "reversible" Halloween costume, and makes sense within the context of the story. It feels like a blatant cash grab by Disney to sell more toys, but providing this doesn't feel thrown in just for the sake of it, we can live with the change before that new Integrated suit appears (an interesting combination of the Upgraded and Iron Spider costumes).

1. Venom Post-Credits

8r98944ewq21e1333

In Venom: Let There Be Carnage's post-credits scene, Eddie Brock was somehow transported into the MCU. Lifted from his grimy hotel, he suddenly found himself in luxurious surroundings (and someone else's room) watching a DailyBugle.net news report about wanted murderer Spider-Man.

Venom took great interest, and the stage was clearly set for a battle between the two. Apparently, Spider-Man: No Way Home will have a stinger picking up after this scene, likely setting the stage for Venom 3 rather than Spider-Man 4. No further details have been revealed, though it makes sense to address Eddie's fate given what a cliffhanger the sequel left us with.

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures coordinated on the sequence, so there's no longer any doubt in our minds that these current iterations of Spidey and Venom will soon cross paths on the big screen.

@ModHaterSLADE - 100%. I feel the suit was placed in this movie solely to sell toys.

Wish we got at least one new villain in scorpion. Hopefully Jamie Foxx's electro will be different enough to justify considering him a new villain

Number 2 and 3 sound so dumb it might as well be true. Same goes for 6. Might not be dumb, but that sounds so specific you couldn't make it up

Mcu fans: come on guys. All the what if episodes are in different universes. You can't apply anything we know in the main mcu timeline to that.

Also mcu fans: see? We had a mention of uncle Ben in a what if episode. Now you guys can stop complaining about it!

The “Great Responsibility” mantra is only going feel forced because they actively avoided using it for so long along with ANY cinimatic mention of Uncle Ben.
