SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME BTS Photos Confirm That (A Beaten Up) Peter Parker Will Return To High School

Some newly released behind-the-scenes photos from Spider-Man: No Way Home put the spotlight on Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and Ned (Jacob Batalon), and the former definitely looks a little worse for wear.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is one of the most secretive superhero movies in recent memory, and there are countless rumours doing the rounds about what we should expect from the threequel.

Time will tell whether it really proves to be a spectacular trip through the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Multiverse, but some new behind-the-scenes photos do confirm that Peter Parker will be returning to high school. This was in doubt after Spidey's secret identity was revealed to the world by Mysterio at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, so we're left with even more questions now!

We know these images are from No Way Home because we see Jacob Batalon's impressive weight loss, and it looks like poor Peter will once again be getting pretty beaten up in the movie. That's to be expected, though, especially with Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina) and Electro (Jamie Foxx) as the confirmed villains.

Beyond Peter returning to Midtown High School, we don't really learn much more about what's going to happen in the Marvel Studios/Sony Pictures release here, but it's Spidey's bruised face that's likely to get most fans talking. While it's no surprise that he receives a beating, if he's heading to school like that, could it be that his classmates - and the world - now know he's a superhero?

Either way, we're definitely excited to see the web-slinger leave high school after this movie...

I just hope this is a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy and Tom Holland's story so far whilst leaving the door for it to continue which it surely will.

The high school bits probably served as the best parts of Homecoming for me. Hopefully No Way Home can return to that smaller in scale stuff

@bkmeijer - probably have to wait for Spiderman 4 for that. Doctor Strange is already confirmed for it and everything is pointing towards spider verse

Would this be Peter's senior year???

@Knowherefast -
In the timeline he should technically be 18/19 already, 19/20 by the end of No Way Home. So he shouldn't really be in Senior Year at all. They really messed up timeline wise though.

@Scarilian - But he was 17 in FFH. So technically if NWH occurs shortly after he could be 18 in his final few weeks of school??

@blackandyellow - I really don't think they look that old. If I was was in HS, and I saw those two walk by me, I wouldn't think twice they were grown adults.

Now Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man 1 on the other hand...

I thought this movie would feature "skinny" Ned this time around. Knowingly he lost a ton of weight.
