The Mysterio Illusion scene was like watching a cut scene from Spider-Man PS4 on a big screen.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - really great sequences, exactly what I wanted to see on screen. A true highlight for sure.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Straight from the comics, I loved it. Both Vulture and Mysterio were great (minus the excessive ties to Stark, obviously).

@Fogs - The Stark connections made them better antagonists. Time for people to stop whining about this.

@WADEZILLA13 - lazy writing IMHO, and probably contract clauses being fulfilled. But ok, if it worked for you...

@TheWalkingCuban - gotta admit. That scene made up for a lot of bs in that movie.

@Origame - exactly, when I saw it I was like this is 90’s animated Spidey, just totally bonkers

Some of these I would remove, like "what the fu." Is it noteworthy? Sure. But its not better than say Spidey battling Thanos or Spidey in NY in Infinity War.

I watched the original Raimi Spider-man last night, and while I think they understood Peter as a dorky loner (an aspect I wish they'd pursue in the Holland films) I think the MCU Spider-man films are better at making Peter likeable and giving his villains good motivation.

Like, I know they get crap for being disgruntled Stark employees, but Vulture and Mysterio are more fleshed out in their "why," whereas Otto was zeroed in on building his reactor (with the broken chip cop out) and Osborne doesn't really have a motivation, no reason to hate Peter, other than going crazy.

@ShellHead - They basically go crazy, yeah. Those were simpler times, villains were very one-dimensional in most CBMs, even in the good movies.

Your first mistake was putting his meeting with captain marvel here. Your next mistake was calling the a force scene awesome.

Also, I was watching princess bride when I read your comment, and I really wanted to use that clip.

The best is undoubtedly him lifting the rubble. The purest spiderman moment in the MCU next to what he told Tony in his room.

Mysterio was handled great in FFH. Actually made me like him as an antagonist. Makes me wonder how Raimi would've handled the character.

The recreation of the scene where he lifts the debris off him is a high point for me. And that Mysterio vs Spider-Man sequence may be one of the best superhero vs villain duels.

Now that I think abour, I can't even think of his bests moments. Sure there were some cool ones, but nothing stands out to me. It's probably taking down Vulture for me
