SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES Footage Indicates That Peter Parker Redesign Isn't Too Bad After All

Some newly released footage from the PlayStation 5 version of Spider-Man: Miles Morales offers a much better look at the overhauled Peter Parker, and it doesn't appear to be as bad as first thought...

When Insomniac revealed that John Bubniak was being replaced by Ben Jordan as the face of Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Miles Morales because the latter better suits voice actor Yuri Lowenthal's facial capture (which is more detailed on the PS5), the response was not positive. In fact, the majority of fans rejected this new take on the character which will be seen in both Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Spider-Man: Remastered.

A clip from the latter didn't really win anyone over, with most fans arguing that the new Peter looked far too much like Tom Holland in what seemed to be a blatant way to create brand synergy!

Well, now that reviewers are getting their hands on Spider-Man: Miles Morales, we have some footage showing the original wall-crawler on the next generation console. Honestly, he doesn't look anywhere near as bad as it initially seemed, and Peter definitely looks like he's older than Miles.

The voice suits the face, too, and it could be that everyone overreacted a little after that initial reveal.

In the latest adventure in the Marvel’s Spider-Man universe, teenager Miles Morales is adjusting to his new home while following in the footsteps of his mentor, Peter Parker, as a new Spider-Man. But when a fierce power struggle threatens to destroy his new home, the aspiring hero realizes that with great power, there must also come great responsibility. To save all of Marvel’s New York, Miles must take up the mantle of Spider-Man and own it.

Check out this (slightly spoilery) footage below:

While it's not a bad face it's still jarring. I don't feel that same connection they had in the first game unless he's wearing the mask because he looks totally different. Ill eventually get used to it, but that's my thought for now.

Oh and the use of licensed music in this game looks great, can't wait to swing to some on my own by Jaden.

@PantherKing - a great trailer...if a little too spoilery. I really wish they didn't show that prowler was in this game. Would have been a really cool reveal like doc ock in the first game.

I know he is Miles main villain but still would have been cool to not know he was in the game
