SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Blu-ray Release Will Include "Peter's To-Do List" Short Film - EXCLUSIVE

There are some big scenes from the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer missing from the movie, and director Jon Watts exclusively reveals to us that they will be included on the home release as a short film!

Spider-Man: Far From Home set photos revealed that Deli owner Mr. Delmar was set to return in the sequel, while the trailers showed Peter Parker getting his passport and taking down a gang of crooks in an action-packed sequence featuring the wall-crawler in his Iron Spider suit.

Well, believe it or not, none of that was in the movie!

Recently, I had the opportunity to talk to director Jon Watts and asked the filmmaker why those scenes ended up being cut, and he revealed that the entire montage will be included on the eventual Blu-ray release - not as a deleted scene, but its own short film.

"Yeah, both of those are actually part of the same montage which is 'Peter's To-Do List.' It's all the things he has to do before he goes on the trip which are going to Delmar's to get a dual headphone adaptor and one of those European travel plugs, he has to go to a pawn shop to sell his Star Wars toys to get money for the trip, he has to pick up his passport, and he has to take down this giant crime syndicate. That's just the to-do list for someone like him but that will be its own little short film that we're going to put on the Blu-ray. There are some good deleted scenes."

It would have been a terrible waste for that action-packed battle between the Iron Spider and those gangsters to remain on the cutting room floor, and this sounds an awful lot like a Marvel One-Shot, something Kevin Feige has talked about bringing back for a while now.

When I pushed the filmmaker for details on why the sequence was cut, he added: "[It] was one of those things where it was a really fun scene but it didn't really move the story forward and we basically just wanted to get the kids to Europe as quickly as possible."

Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into cinemas on July 2nd. Check out our review by clicking here.

I kind of hope this is a sign they're bringing back the Marvel One Shots, but I'm not holding my breath.
