BOX OFFICE: SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Looks Set To Trap $100+ Million In Its Web This Weekend

The latest opening weekend box office estimates for Spider-Man: Homecoming suggest the Marvel Studios/Sony Pictures co-production could wrap-up as much as $120 million domestically. More past the jump...

Though a Marvel Studios movie hitting the $100 million mark on its opening weekend is barely even news at this stage, the fact that many look at Spidey's last couple of big-screen outings as flops (they weren't... at least, not commercially) was cause for concern.

However, the latest Spider-Man; Homecoming box office estimates are in, and The Webhead's new adventure is expected to perform spectacularly.

According to Deadline, the movie should definitely hit the $100M mark by the time Monday rolls around - although Sony sees a more conservative $80 - $90M, so we'll obviously have to wait and see.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is out now in The UK and Ireland, and swings into US theaters tomorrow.

This seems very conservative. I would hope Spidey in the MCU could get get at least $125 million. Maybe next time.

What happened to Spidey? Fatigue?

This movie is going to be great. I'm going tomorrow night.
