After numerous reports about negotiations to be in Sony/Marvel Studio's upcoming Spider-Man reboot, Spider-Man: Homecoming, it seems that Batman star Michael Keaton has signed on for film. Director Jon Watts has taken to Twitter to confirm it by posting a gif of Michael Keaton celebrating. Rumor is the role is for Keaton to play Vulture but that hasn't been confirmed by Watts or the studios.

Also the Kingpin himself, Vincent D'Onofrio, wants to be in Spider-Man: Homecoming. D'Onofrio has played Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in both seasons of the critically acclaimed Netflix series Daredevil. In the comics, Kingpin originally was a villain of Spider-Man's with his first appearance in Amazing Spider-Man #50. If you have seen Daredevil Season 2, you know that Wilson Fisk is still in prison but he doesn't look to be staying there for much longer.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will star Tom Holland in the title role, along with Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Michael Keaton as unnamed male character, Zendaya as the still unnamed female lead, Tony Revolori, Laura Harrier (also unknown characters) and Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man

I saw this last night. I also went to Tessa Thompson's twitter and she retweeted Taika's posts before she was even confirmed to be in Ragnarok. Point being I'm going to keep on eye on the director's and actor's social medias to see if they give away hints, because posting a Michael Keaton "Excited" gif pretty much not only confirms they were in talks but that Keaton signed on the dotted line. It's a pretty big thing to give away in a friggin gif rather than a proper cast announcement. Still cool, though.

@ScarletWarlock - yeah social media leaks a lot of stuff just look at the Russo brothers Twitter! Everyone thought that account was fake but all the pictures they tweeted were in civil war

@Mike89 - Stoked Keaton is coming to the MCU and as a villain....however, although I know he'd kill it as Vulture....I really dont want them to waste him on someone like Toomes. Vulture is a one movie villain and beside he'd be absolutely perfect for Norman. Hell he even has that pointed hairline like Osborn. I'm hoping that he originally passed on Vulture and then they got him by offering him a better part...Norman. Then they can go get Robert Englund to play Vulture.

Kingpin possibly being in future Spider-man movies is the bigger news to me. I've been wanting to see Kingpin in Spider-Man movies for years and it'd be great if this gets to happen.
