Kraven the Hunter continues shooting in the UK, and we now have another look at Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the title character in the Sony movie. Once again, he's not decked out in anything close to a comic-accurate costume, and it's looking like he'll spend a big chunk of this movie in this attire.
That's probably because this is one of the first times Kraven has displayed his powers in public, though it's disappointing that the first time we're seeing this villain isn't for a clash with Spider-Man.
There's a chance we'll see Kraven's classic costume at some point, but don't bank on it. The Venom franchise has taken major liberties with the source material by eliminating the web-slinger from Eddie Brock's origin story, meaning he wears a generic black costume rather than boasting that familiar white logo on his chest. Morbius, meanwhile, never donned a suit of any sort in his movie.
How Kraven the Hunter will fit into Sony's grand plan for a shared Marvel Universe is hard to say, especially after Morbius flopped. There are rumblings online that Michael Keaton won't be returning as The Vulture after the studio dropped the ball on his cameo, and we can't imagine Jared Leto is too keen to play the Living Vampire again after some of the worst reviews and box office takings of his career.
Kraven the Hunter will be unleashed in theaters on January 13, 2023.
