MORBIUS Gets A (Slightly) Earlier Release Date In The UK After Multiple Delays

As is so often the case with Marvel movies, Morbius has become the latest blockbuster to secure an earlier release date in the UK. For those of you on that side of the pond, you can find out more here...

Thanks to the pandemic, Morbius recently gained the dubious honour of becoming the most delayed movie of all time (beating even The New Mutants). We're hoping it's been worth the wait, though trailers for the movie have definitely impressed, especially with Oscar-winner Jared Leto in the lead role.

For UK fans, there will be an opportunity to see Morbius that little bit sooner as it's secured a March 31 release. Of course, that's not too much earlier than the U.S. and the rest of the world, as Thursday night preview screenings also take place that day; as a result, there will only be a matter of hours in it!

With Spider-Man: No Way Home wrapping up its box office run and a Digital/Blu-ray release finally confirmed, we're banking on Sony pulling out all the stops to build excitement for Morbius. One final trailer teasing what's to come wouldn't hurt, especially if the presence of Michael Keaton as Adrian Toomes is an indication that some Multiversal madness is going to factor into the movie.

"One of Marvel's most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero Michael Morbius," reads the synopsis. "Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. While it seems to be a success, a darkness inside him is unleashed. Will good override evil - or will Morbius succumb to his mysterious urges?"

The cast of Morbius also includes, Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal, and Tyrese Gibson. The movie is set to be released in U.S. theaters on April 1. Find the latest updates here!

Yay the gross Jared Leto as a shiny CGI vampire in Sony’s grey, generic, early 2000s universe. A day earlier. Woo. And hoo.

@MarvelZombie616 - On this site it's all about USA and sometimes UK gets a pass and gets included. They don't mean anything by it, they just don't know about the rest of the world.
