Earlier today, a new featurette revealed that the second trailer for Morbius will be with us tomorrow, but it's actually leaked online quite a bit earlier than expected. We won't be sharing the full thing here (it's not hard to find), but we do have a fun little moment for you guys to take a look at!
We had heard there might be a Venom reference in the trailer, and that's now been confirmed. In fact, The Living Vampire (Jared Leto) actually pretends to be the symbiote antihero for a moment in order to scare a would-be assailant (something tells us his vampire face would have done the trick).
Just in case there was any doubt, this firmly establishes that Morbius takes place in the same world as the Venom movies. Of course, we know that Michael Keaton's Adrian Tooms/Vulture will also appear (he shows up again in the new trailer), which obviously suggests there will be an MCU connection. Is The Vulture's involvement due to Doctor Strange's Multiverse tinkering, perhaps?
Directed by Daniel Espinosa, Morbius also stars Tyrese Gibson, Al Madrigal, Matt Smith, Jared Harris and Adria Arjona. The Sony Pictures movie is set to hit theaters early next year.
