MORBIUS, THE LIVING VAMPIRE Set Photos Offer A First Look At Jared Leto As Michael Morbius

Some new photos from the set of Morbius, The Living Vampire have been revealed, and they provide a first look at Jared Leto as Michael Morbius and Matt Smith's possibly villainous character. Check it out!

Morbius, The Living Vampire is currently shooting in Manchester, England (which is doubling for New York City) and some new photos from the set have found their way online today. 

As you can see below, Jared Leto (Suicide Squad) has been spotted wearing an outfit which appears to have been lifted straight out of the 2013 comic book run featuring the classic Spider-Man villain. He doesn't look overly vampiric here, and considering the fact that producer Avi Arad has teased a visible transformation for Morbius, there's no way this is his final look. 

Matt Smith, meanwhile, has also been seen and it's widely believed that he will be playing Loxias Crown, a villain known as Hunger who also ends up with similar powers to Morbius. 
 
Morbius, The Living Vampire is set to be released next July and will be followed shortly after by the Venom sequel. Do these photos get you any more excited for the movie? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section and stay tuned for additional updates.

It's hard to think of a way to criticize Leto when he's playing the role of a creepy life-sucking euro-douche.

...I mean... maybe he'll [frick] up the accent, but everything else is just a perfect fit.

You know the Sonyverse sucks when, as a Manchester student who literally lives 5 minutes from where they’re shooting, I couldn’t be less bothered about walking over for a look. Tempted to throw some anal beads at Leto tho

While I'm not particularly enthusiastic about Sony making a Morbius film, a good film is still a good film so hope it works out.

How do you call this a Spiderman spin off if there is no reference to him? So far they have given zero indication that there is any webslinger in this movie. If it's anything like Venom, it's just a bastardization of the character.

That's certainly a comic book flick being filmed right now. I hope people get paid well for it and live fine off of it.

I've got nothing to say about this flick right now. This is exactly how I feel about it at the moment.

At least Blade had a visually interesting character design for the film, even if it was somewhat generic Wesley Snipes badass.

This could still turn out to be a great new comic film, but I can’t see the public getting all that interested by anything they see until word that it *is* great comes out.

well this is unsurprisingly lame. I expect that closer to the movie they'll release his "more scary" over the top jared leto overacting sparkly vampire look. he'll be making some weird face that he thinks looks badass but will just look like leto pulling another face and being his usual effeminate corny self.

maybe they'll even get tom hardy to make a cartoony "venom" cameo and they can each try to over-act and out-cornball each other. that's about the BEST we can expect from this.
