Andrew Garfield Finally Responds To Leaked SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Video: "At This Point...I'm Done!"

The Amazing Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield has finally commented on that apparent video of him on the set of Spider-Man: No Way Home, admitting that fans might be best to wait and see at this point.

Spider-Man: No Way Home has been plagued by leaks, and it's beginning to feel a lot like some of them have deliberately been dropped online by Sony Pictures as a way of stealthily marketing the movie. After all, we still don't know if they're real or not, but the apparent confirmation that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are in the movie is half the reason fans are so excited about it!

There was even a video of Garfield seemingly in costume and on set, and while one fan later claimed to be responsible for making it, we've lost track of what's really going on.

In the video below, the actor addresses various online posts from fans, including one on YouTube. Garfield recently appeared on The Tonight Show, and the commenter pointed out that Jimmy Fallon should have asked Garfield about the leaked video doing the rounds. Why? Well, he'd have found it harder to explain that than dismissing the leaked image as being Photoshopped.

"This is about this Spider-Man Photoshop thing that we talked about at Jimmy Fallon," the actor said. "Listen, at this point...I'm done. We'll all out find out when the movie comes out and we'll either be very disappointed, or we'll be very happy, or like, someone will say, 'I told you so.' And the other person was a bit, 'I told you so.' We'll all find out. I'm sorry in advance."

Yeah, he's totally in Spider-Man: No Way Home. At this point, it needs to just be confirmed already, though we're guessing it will all come to light in one final trailer released when tickets go on sale.

There are some great moments with Garfield in this video, so be sure to check it out!

This man has had to bear the full brunt of the media. At this point just reveal them already so he doesn’t have to suffer

@PantherKing - Feel bad that so much press has been focused on whether he’s in No Way Home or not, BUT he was kind of being overlooked the last few years, all this talk has put him back on the map in a big way and I think strengthening the buzz behind his Tick Tick Boom performance

@PantherKing - he needs to take some pointers from Tobey. He's not had one interview I've seen where he's been put on the spot. Kinda makes me wonder why Andrew's people aren't making sure no questions are asked before hand even hinting at Spiderman questions... unless Marvel has instructed him to allow questions about the movies so he can deny rumors publicly... for reasons. They are letting these questions be asked... so... hm.

@PantherKing - its possible, just possible this movie ends in a cliffhanger with holland going up against the sinister six... and tobey and garfield only appear in the follow up movie whenever that is... maybe in the Strange movies since these two movies seem tied together.

@JonC - you stole my comment. I suggested that maybe Andrew is in a credits scene which really isn’t in the actual movie.

I would be less convinced they were in it but the leaked photos showed the same environment as what we saw in the trailer with the invisible guy punching the Lizard. I'm hopeful that we get a 3-man Spider-men-team with a tease of Miles.

@duncboy - What if we get 4-Spidermen with Donald Glover appearing as Miles from another world?

I feel kinda bad, he’s trying to do press for his movie and he’s just getting hounded despite everyone knowing he couldn’t say anything if he wanted to. It reminds me of everyone bothering Ben Affleck about The Batman every interview and at a certain point it clearly is just rude

@Ha1frican - If you can't handle it, find another career. Ben, not Andrew, he seems to be handling it ok.

It's a stupid job to ask him these questions because he's NOT going to tell them the truth if he's in it.

I agree with the others; it's a sh*tty move to even ask him.

He's handling it pretty well. I am sure he wants to talk about the movie he is trying to promote but they keep pounding him.

I'm sorry, but i have no more hype, for me they are the goblin and octavius in the money shot scene, both with stark tech

Se4M4NSt4ine - 11/19/2021, 4:55 PM
@Fanmar16 - I honestly have been the biggest skeptic about Tobey and Andrew showing up throughout all these rumours, but when he says:

“We'll all out find out when the movie comes out and we'll either be very disappointed, OR we'll be
very happy

That’s honestly the first time he’s acknowledged any sort of involvement he could have if he’s in the project, before he was just simply saying he wasn’t in it - Andrew’s a professional, he’s been at the stakes of dealing with spoilers and disappointing fans before, but to tease the fans could be “very happy” that’s words from a man who knows somethings up lol

@Fanmar16 - Goblin has Stark tech?

Dude should just walk away from anyone asking that question.

It's sad that Andrew Garfield cannot talk about "Tick Tick Boom" because all the questions are about the Spider-man film he can't talk about.
bcom
bcom - 11/19/2021, 4:16 PM
This must be one of the hardest parts about being an actor rumoured to be appearing in a high profile movie. The constant nagging of the same question by every media outlet must get SO FRIGGIN ANNOYING but every time they have to answer it while keeping their cool.

On that note, what’s with all these media outlets asking directors and actors whether they’d direct or star in a superhero movie? It seems to be like they’re trying to catch them out so they can drop a controversial headline like “Such and such hates superhero movies”. It’s really trashy reporting.
LSHF
LSHF - 11/19/2021, 8:57 PM
@bcom - Yes. That "Ridley Scott says...boring as shit." story got lots of mileage. I imagine the reporters are trying to figure out how to shoehorn these stupid questions into every interview with anyone in Hollywood.
bcom
bcom - 11/20/2021, 6:51 AM
@LSHF - it’s lazy tabloid level reporting. Variety is getting really bad at it at the moment.
