SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Producer Amy Pascal Teases The Sinister Six In The Marvel Cinematic Universe

A lot of villains have been established in Spider-Man's corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but does that mean the Sinister Six are coming? Far From Home producer Amy Pascal certainly thinks so...

Spider-Man: Far From Home is now available on Blu-ray and in one of the sequel's featurettes, producer Amy Pascal has seemingly teased plans for the Sinister Six in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There's been speculation about that team's formation for a while now, especially with an increased number of villains occupying Spidey's corner of this shared world.

"These villains we now have in our universe happen to be characters that are in the Sinister Six," Pascal teases. "There may be something that happens with that."

It's no secret that Drew Goddard was once working on a Sinister Six move for Sony Pictures, but it does seem more likely that the team would now be part of the next Spider-Man movie. It just depends on whether that's too much, too soon for the franchise as it could end up feeling a tad rushed.

So far, the MCU's Spider-Man franchise has introduced Vulture, Shocker, Tinkerer, Scorpion, Mysterio, and possibly Chameleon (well, Dmitri). There are still some iconic members missing, of course, including Doctor Octopus, Electro, Kraven the Hunter, and Sandman.

Could be an awesome way to say goodbye to Spidey in the MCU but I'd rather have the third movie and then this.

@Catmanlives - agreed. It would make more sense to introduce Kraven, Scorpion and maybe Chameleon in the next movie and then have the team brought together by Doc Ock in the fourth movie.

Can someone please take the drink out of her hand and shut her up already! "Yes Amy, you need to be in the spotlight" "yes we get it!" "Can you please step out of Feiges shadow and return to your office and wait to be called." Have your assistant pour you another drink as you ramble on about shit you have no control over. It's funny how you didn't hear a single word come out of her during the Disney/Sony Deal for Spider-Man. Now that it's over she's running her mouth again. Sony needs to do everyone a favor and keep her quiet.

@GrilledLove87 - I don't get your hate towards her. I think she is a solid producer and well, I don't think it's that weird to keep quiet when negotiations are still going on.

@Unites - she is awful. How someone like her can become such an important part of spiderman I'll never understand.

I really hope that the next movie doesn’t feature the Sinister Six. I much rather see just Scorpion and Kraven both hunting Spider-Man because of their own reasons

So there is one solo movie AND one MCU movie confirmed, right.. what IF the untitled MCU movie is not just a cameo in a previously announced movie. but rather an Avengers style "Event" movie titled "Sinister Six"
Staring Spider-man figting the villains with a little help from his MCU pals(?) just wondering.....personally I would rather see Spider-man fight the Sinister Six on his own, but if this is the only way we'll get the Sinister Six in the MCU I'll take it

In a (my) perfect world, we'd have this third movie in the "homecoming" trilogy rounded off with the introduction of Kraven (which fits in perfectly with the identity reveal at the end of FFH...Peter goes into hiding, a new villain is hunting him, etc). This third movie is Spidey's undoing. It's his Winter Soldier/Ragnarok. By the end of the film, Peter is no longer in high school, no longer an Avenger, Spidey is a worldwide "menace" thanks to the Bugle, and he loses access to Stark tech. THEN, we have a new trilogy...an adult trilogy...where Spidey faces Doc Ock and Goblin (also meeting Black Cat)...it's the big leagues now. And we round out the second trilogy with the Sinister Six, comprised of Doc Ock, Goblin, Mysterio, Kraven, Vulture, and maybe a surprise villain. Also, in this "adult" trilogy, MJ becomes an off-broadway actress with the stage name "Mary Jane", colors her hair red, and grows into the classic character (okay, this last one is wishful thinking, but ah well).

Supposedly the Sinister Six are setting up to star in their own movie before they team up in a Spider-Man film.

@Argetlam22 - That's been the rumor for awhile now, ever since Sony attempted to yank Holland's Spidey out of the MCU.

@L0RDbuckethead - I would love a Sinister Six movie if it was done right, especially if it teases more of this "benefactor" character.

I'm split between wanting to see a comic book accurate Green Goblin and wanting to see the Sinister Six on the big screen. I just don't think we'll get both.

Can't wait to see Mysterio return, awesome villain and Jake did a terrific job.

The next Spider-Man should be about Kraven the Hunter tracking down Peter Parker and setting up the Sinister Six to accomplish what Kraven could not. I rather see the Sinister Six in a separate Avengers level movie. So, if the next Spider-Man is in 2021, Disney and Sony should strike another deal for 2023 for the Sinister Six and make that a 2.5 to 3 hour long movie event.

Hmm...

Shocker
Vulture
Mysterio
Scorpion
Kraven

We only need Doc Ock at this point. I guess they can introduce him in the next film and have him become Doc Ock at the end and automatically have him form the sinister six in the 4th film? (or spin it off with the Sinister Six movie) then have them go against Spider-Man in the 4th film. (after spidey gets the symbiote in Secret Wars *5th Avengers film*)

I feel like we need a least one more full Spidey film before the Sinister Six are introduced, but I’ll definitely be excited when we finally get to a Spidey film featuring them.

I don't mind if they build up to it. Similiar to how they did with Thanos, but save a threat this big for when Spiderman is actually a Man!
