SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Is Now The Sixth Highest-Grossing Movie Of All Time

As Spider-Man: No Way Home continues to pack 'em in worldwide, the Sony Pictures threequel has swung past Jurassic World at the global box office to become the sixth highest-grossing movie of all time.

Spider-Man: No Way Home continues to be a major draw five weeks on from its release, and Sony Pictures' critically-acclaimed superhero flick has now officially become the sixth highest-grossing movie of all time.

Jon Watts' Spidey threequel has taken in an amazing $1.69B worldwide, swinging past Jurassic World ($1.67B) and The Lion King ($1.662B) as it climbs close to the #5 position. $970.1M comes from international box office (it should hit $1 billion overseas), with a domestic total of $721M+. No Way Home has also made it into IMAX's top 10 releases after adding $2.7M worldwide this weekend, and is currently the No. 9 highest-grossing IMAX movie globally.

This would be an impressive feat under any circumstances, but in the midst of a pandemic and without a release in China, it's pretty damn spectacular.

That domestic cume also makes No Way Home the fourth highest-grossing movie of all time in The United States and Canada, and analysts believe it could ultimately beat Avatar to claim the #3 spot. It will need to take in another $40.1 million to do so, but audience interest does not seem to be waning, so it is possible.

In related BO news, Paramount's Scream revival added another $10.2M from 54 markets, taking its worldwide total to $85M.

On Topic🤷🏾‍♂️

721 domestic and 969 (the age methuselah died, the year of the flood no less, so maybe FROM the flood) foreign, so if domestic continues with the legs it has now, it would reach 765. Foreign will pass a billion but by how much? Enough to reach 1.8 billion ww? Well it only has to be 1.035 foreign if domestic reaches 765… I think 1.8 is in the bag. Foreign is smoking domestic at this point, ahead by 278 million. I think foreign will at least reach 1.1 billion. This movie will be closer to 1.9 than 1.8

Also edit is back, I edited just to say that

@TheWalkingCuban - not on topic as there was historically never any world wide flood so the potential year that an imaginary thing that never happened(even if it would have), has no relevance to actual exiting box office numbers. Keep the biblical nonsense in church and out of nerd talk

@Hulkh8liars - oh so you’re telling me what to and what not to say. Not discussing, just shutting me up. So we’re clear?

Really enjoyed it. I definitely want to see it again. Not sure if some of my issues with the first half will be more glaring or not.

On another thread a user mentioned that this is an anomaly for the pandemic and I couldn't agree more.
