SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Toy Packaging Reveals A Closer Look At Peter Parker's Two New Costumes

Packaging for upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home toys reveals a series of different images depicting the web-slinger's two new costumes, and it looks like Peter will be making use of some Iron Spider tech.

Excitement levels for Spider-Man: No Way Home are now through the roof, and with the curtain pulled back on merchandise for the movie, fans are more anxious than ever for a trailer.

Whether that first look will feature "Variant" Spider-Men or villains like Doctor Octopus and Electro remains to be seen, especially as they're completely absent from this first wave of merchandise. We have no choice but to wait and see, but it's the wall-crawler's new costumes we're focusing on for the time being.

As you'll see below, the packaging for these toys features both outfits, confirming that the "Integrated Suit" will make use of the tech - the four extra arms, to be specific - we saw from the Iron Spider in Avengers: Infinity War. With that suit sitting in his closet, it seems Peter Parker decides to combine it with his Upgraded Suit in order to make the ultimate crime-fighting costume.

How that snazzy black and gold number factors into Spider-Man: No Way Home is a mystery to us, but it could be that Spidey needs it in order to face the combined might of the Sinister Six.

The anticipation right now is that the trailer will play in theaters in front of Black Widow, but nothing has been confirmed, and you'll have to keep checking back here for the latest updates!

cameos we could see in Spider-Man: No Way Home!

5. Chris Cooper's Green Goblin

KAZARLOSL2021001-3132433312313445

Right now, the majority of rumors suggest that Willem Dafoe will return as Spider-Man's Green Goblin and this film's lead villain. It makes sense to have Norman Osborn pulling the strings as he's clearly the sort of baddie who would want to travel through the Multiverse destroying every possible version of Peter Parker.

However, had The Amazing Spider-Man 3 become a reality, we were likely going to see Chris Cooper transform into a Green Goblin more akin to the one in Ultimate Spider-Man

Picking up with Andrew Garfield's Spidey as he battles this Goblin would be fun, and likely means he'd underestimate what a threat the other Norman is in his green flight suit. This could be an interesting way for Sony to tease us with their original plans, all while revealing what this Spider-Man has been facing since 2014.

We're not banking on it, but it sure would be fun to see this very different version of Green Goblin on screen.

4. Jake Gyllenhaal...As Spider-Man

KAZARLOSL2021001-31324333123134452

Once upon a time, there were plans for Jake Gyllenhaal to potentially replace Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man.

That never came to pass, and the actor would instead get to enter the wall-crawler's world as Mysterio in 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home. We'd be gobsmacked if Quentin Beck isn't revealed to be alive in No Way Home with the reveal that there was, in fact, some truth to his claims about the Multiverse.

Tom Holland's Spidey crossing paths with a version of himself who has the face of one of his greatest enemies has the potential to be a great showcase of what it means for there to be a Multiverse. It also leaves the door open to Maguire playing both his Spider-Man and the MCU's Uncle Ben (a popular theory online).

Gyllenhaal's return as Mysterio is a must, and this would be an effective precursor to that happening.

3. Deadpool

KAZARLOSL2021001-313243331231344523

Fans remain as anxious as ever to learn how Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool will be brought into the MCU, especially when Marvel Studios is taking its time rebooting the X-Men.

Marvel Studios could choose to reboot the Merc with the Mouth, but we would argue that it makes more sense for the original Wade Wilson to find his way into a new world.

That world is, of course, the MCU and Spider-Man: No Way Home feels like the best possible place to make it happen. Spidey and Deadpool have a storied history on the page, and none of us ever expected them to share the screen; that being part of this film would be nothing short of mind-blowing.

This only needs to be a brief cameo as Spidey leaps from world to world, but it would be...amazing.

2. The Punisher

KAZARLOSL2021001-3132433312313445233

Charlie Cox is supposedly returning as Matt Murdock to represent Peter Parker in court after Mysterio framed him for murder and the attack on London.

We don't know if he's going to suit up as Daredevil, but Spider-Man: No Way Home is as good a place as any to bring Jon Bernthal back as Frank Castle. In the comics, he was introduced as a vigilante attempting to take the "criminal" web-slinger down, and that's something we could see play out here as well.

Marvel Studios could even follow Ultimate Spider-Man by having Peter take a bullet from The Punisher before having to head into battle against the Sinister Six. By that point, Frank Castle could learn he made a mistake, setting up an interesting future arc where he has to deal with the guilt from his actions.

The Punisher is an awesome character and Bernthal was a perfect casting addition, so fingers crossed.

1. PlayStation's Spider-Man And Miles Morales

KAZARLOSL2021001-31324333123134452333

We don't know how crazy Marvel Studios plans to get with Spider-Man: No Way Home, but it would be a legit surprise for the film not to reference Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in some manner.

After all, Sony's film beat the MCU to the punch when it came to exploring Spidey's place in the "Spider-Verse," and recent title cards shared on this site have indicated that this live-action feature will take inspiration from the Oscar-winning animated feature.

If that means we could see live-action versions of animated Spider-Men in No Way Home, then the versions played by Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter from the PlayStation games should be a priority.

Those two have done a spectacular job bringing Peter Parker and Miles Morales to life, and some big screen recognition would be well-deserved. They'd only have to lend their voices to the characters, with visual effects used to bring their respective costumes to life on screen. You have to admit, it'd be fun for the MCU's Peter to see this relationship play out in front of him.

Costume is growing on me... a bit. Just wish that they swapped the gold for black, and I would be so happy
MeAreLegend
MeAreLegend - 7/2/2021, 6:00 AM
@MeAreLegend - also wished they saved black spidey suits for the symbiote suit (if they are actually going to do that in the future), but I guess it doesnt look too bad
Origame
Origame - 7/2/2021, 6:10 AM
@MeAreLegend - this might be basically confirmation that they aren't going the symbiote route.
ALF9001
ALF9001 - 7/2/2021, 6:31 AM
@MeAreLegend - apparently the gold is just the iron spider legs that wrap around the red and black suit. I think I'm fine with that, especially if it's only for heavy battle.
Conquistador
Conquistador - 7/2/2021, 6:35 AM
@Origame - Yeah, i do for some reason see this could be a "secret Wars" suit. That's just high hopes though. It's nver going to happen this life time :(
MeAreLegend
MeAreLegend - 7/2/2021, 6:45 AM
@Origame - Yeah, you’re probably right. A shame if they dont use it, as it’s one of the best ones imo. Spider-Man 3 went the lazy route by just making his costume black/grey, all I want is to see the black and white version of the suit with the wraparound spider logo
MeAreLegend
MeAreLegend - 7/2/2021, 7:02 AM
@ALF9001 - That wouldnt be too bad actually then if its just an addon piece
marvel72
marvel72 - 7/2/2021, 7:29 AM
@MeAreLegend - That would be the symbiote suit if it's growing on you.
McMurdo
McMurdo - 7/2/2021, 7:33 AM
@MeAreLegend - so what’s the over under on Iron Lad making his own suits in this one? We knows it’s centered around Stark Tech again, the plot not the suit.
WruceBayne
WruceBayne - 7/2/2021, 7:40 AM
@TyrantBossMedia - I think eventually we’ll get it. I think they’re going to save the symbiote suit for the Russo’s Secret Wars movie.

@MeAreLegend - you mean like this? Because that would be pretty damn cool

MeAreLegend
MeAreLegend - 7/2/2021, 10:31 AM
@marvel72 - i mean it makes sense, its just that i am a really big fan of the design thats all
MeAreLegend
MeAreLegend - 7/2/2021, 10:32 AM
@bkmeijer - exactly like that! Ive always been a fan of Ben Reillys spidey design and I think it would be a great “redesign” for a live action spidey while still looking very classic. I can see how people wouldnt really be a big fan of it but I personally love it
bkmeijer2
bkmeijer2 - 7/2/2021, 11:21 AM
@MeAreLegend - same here. I liked how the game did it with white, but I do wanna see it in black too
solskulldeath

PC04
PC04 - 7/2/2021, 6:00 AM
Can't get away from the Gold can we? Wish we had the classic Spidey costume or even something closer to Ben Reillys color scheme and style.

but...
Cap1
Cap1 - 7/2/2021, 6:10 AM
@BlackBeltJones - annoyingly true, makes it so materialistic. Surely Maguire n Garfield’s (likely) n everyone elses return will sell ample toys lol
Mrcool210
Mrcool210 - 7/2/2021, 6:11 AM
@Cap1 - Technically you got your wish for civil war to homecoming. They've already fufiled your request so from this point on..

@Mrcool210 - goddammit. I’ve been played like a fiddle
JoeInTheBox
JoeInTheBox - 7/2/2021, 8:34 AM
@Cap1 - Yeah, the merch angle is one of the compromises for Sony having the movie rights. Marvel will capitalize as much as they can on the merch.
IcePyke
IcePyke - 7/2/2021, 6:07 AM
MCU version of Anti Ock suit, maybe? 🤔

Mrcool210
Mrcool210 - 7/2/2021, 6:09 AM
@IcePyke - Reminds me a lot more of the uptown pride suit from miles Morales.

Although I think you may be onto something for the inspiration
RageDriver2401
RageDriver2401 - 7/2/2021, 6:36 AM
@IcePyke - you might be on to something here. But if this is indeed the case that is a very unimaginative design.
RageDriver2401
RageDriver2401 - 7/2/2021, 6:40 AM
All these new age Spider-Men making suits to defeat Ock meanwhile Chad-Maguire took him on in a damaged home made suit.

OG for a reason biches.
SnideCut
SnideCut - 7/2/2021, 7:20 AM
@RageDriver2401 - Bruh, that suit isn't homemade in the slightest lol. Also, technically, he lost the first time against Ock and Ock killed himself the second time.
RageDriver2401
RageDriver2401 - 7/2/2021, 7:33 AM
@SnideCut - I don't know man, cosplayers seem to be doing a pretty bang up job at making this kinda stuff these days.
RageDriver2401
RageDriver2401 - 7/2/2021, 7:35 AM
@SnideCut - also he was holding his own pretty well until he had to stop a train a running train.
Hoot3
Hoot3 - 7/2/2021, 7:57 AM
@RageDriver2401 - It's been a while since I read it but I'm pretty sure the movie novelization based on the script states that someone made his suits for him. I know it's not canon if they don't show it, but it was definitely intended to be the case.
RageDriver2401
RageDriver2401 - 7/2/2021, 8:07 AM
@Hoot3 -
"I know it's not canon if they don't show it"

m1doriya
m1doriya - 7/2/2021, 8:51 AM
@SnideCut - it wasn't a stark tech suit, that's the point
SnideCut
SnideCut - 7/3/2021, 1:17 AM
@RageDriver2401 - yeah they make those suits by spending a lot of money on them to be used maybe once or twice.
Also, Doc Ock is a villain. He's not going to fight fair. Hell, none of Tom Holland Spidey's villains fought fair either.

Also, Holland Spidey defeats Vulture in a suit that looked and felt way more homemade than Tobey's did.
SnideCut
SnideCut - 7/3/2021, 1:18 AM
@m1doriya - Holland Spidey didn't defeat Vulture using the Stark suit.
GhostDog
GhostDog - 7/2/2021, 6:07 AM
The black one is kind of tough. The rest meh.
Mrcool210
Mrcool210 - 7/2/2021, 6:09 AM
When I first heard that there would be a suit called the "Integrated Suit" I thought that might mean that Peter is inspired by his alternate selves and integrates elements from both of their suits into a new one for himself....

This isn't bad...but that would have been waaay better.

SnideCut
SnideCut - 7/3/2021, 1:19 AM
@Mrcool210 - could still happen. They're clearly keeping a lot under wraps.
Conquistador
Conquistador - 7/2/2021, 6:14 AM
With all this talk about the suits i gota say, i prefer there to be an actual practical suit, unlike that of the CGI overlay in Captain America CW, Infinty war, and Endgame. If all these suits are CGI again, i'd prefer them to keep the one he got at the end of Far From Home.

I might be the minority on that, but i never had a problem with the Maguire or Garfields (TASM2) suits, which were for the most part practical.
