SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Trailer Views Swing Past All-Time Record Held By AVENGERS: ENDGAME

We knew Spider-Man: No Way Home was highly-anticipated, but we didn't realize it was this hotly awaited! The first trailer amassed an-all time viewership record of 355.5M global views within 24 hours.

After months of anticipation, the first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home was finally released online this past Monday after debuting at CinemaCon. Fans had been anxiously awaiting a first look at some footage from the movie following persistent rumors that former big-screen Spideys Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield would appear, but we didn't realize quite how hotly awaited this first teaser was.

According to Deadline, the No Way Home trailer broke the 24-hour all-time record for most global views with a whopping 355.5 million, obliterating the previous record held by Avengers: Endgame, which drove 289 million views. This is also double the amount of views the second trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home managed in its first 24 hours (135M).

If these excitement levels maintain - and there's no reason to think they won't - Sony Pictures/Marvel Studios are going to have a massive hit on their hands come December.

This sneak peek didn't actually feature Garfield or Maguire, but it did reveal Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus and tease several other villains. If the eventual second trailer officially confirms that Tom Holland will be swinging into action with those other webbed wonders, expect it to amass even more views than the first.

What did you guys think of the first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home? Did it meet your expectations, or were you hoping it would reveal a little more?

So what if instead of the multiverse variants in the MCU, it's actually Tom Holland's Spider-Man traveling through the multiverse and he has No Way Home??

@Gandressmex - I mean yeah that seems obvious. Considering it's the title and there's the weird scene at Feast where the people are pointing like zombies. He's traveling outside of his NY

@ThorArms - Yea its just that some people are also speculating that these villain's are variants sucked into the MCU and they have no way home. Also some people have theorized that they may also be a Sinister Six team that managed to kill their Spider-Man. All I know is that this trailer has left people with more questions than before lol

@Gandressmex - I'm going to toss out a theory. What if the branches in reality sort of hit Norman like a premonition of sort and he used his glider and his tech to venture through them and saw in various timelines he dies Everytime by Spiderman and saves the other villains who are meant to be killed? This would explain his need for the arc reactor in the MCU Earth.

@SonOfAGif - That would be cool too! Also what if instead of saving the other villains who are meant to be killed, he recruits those that managed to kill Spider-Man to help him get the arc reactor??

@Gandressmex - It would be difficult to write them as those who killed Spiderman because one would have to wonder which Spiderman did they kill and why didn't they just remain on their earth instead? I think Goblin saving and recruiting them works a bit better since he will be the leader of the Six. And it works because in their Earth's there are no Avengers. Just Spiderman.

@Gandressmex - Nah. It's the Sinister 6 with No Way Home.

Just wonder what that means for the Spidey film after this one. I would love to see Spidey deal with more street level threats or even going against someone like Kingpin (maybe with daredevil(?)) or Tombstone. Just worried that they will try to top No Way Home in terms of scale for the next one and don’t want to ‘scale down’ to street level with smaller stakes
