SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Trailer Views Swing Past All-Time Record Held By AVENGERS: ENDGAME

After months of anticipation, the first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home was finally released online this past Monday after debuting at CinemaCon. Fans had been anxiously awaiting a first look at some footage from the movie following persistent rumors that former big-screen Spideys Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield would appear, but we didn't realize quite how hotly awaited this first teaser was.

According to Deadline, the No Way Home trailer broke the 24-hour all-time record for most global views with a whopping 355.5 million, obliterating the previous record held by Avengers: Endgame, which drove 289 million views. This is also double the amount of views the second trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home managed in its first 24 hours (135M).

If these excitement levels maintain - and there's no reason to think they won't - Sony Pictures/Marvel Studios are going to have a massive hit on their hands come December.

This sneak peek didn't actually feature Garfield or Maguire, but it did reveal Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus and tease several other villains. If the eventual second trailer officially confirms that Tom Holland will be swinging into action with those other webbed wonders, expect it to amass even more views than the first.

What did you guys think of the first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home? Did it meet your expectations, or were you hoping it would reveal a little more?
