Possible Description For Marvel's Very Different Take On SPIDER-MAN's New Suit Surfaces
Take this with a pinch of salt, but a possible description of the suit which will be worn by Tom Holland in Captain America: Civil War next year has surfaced, and it's fair to say it won't be what you expected. We even have a piece of fan-art which gives us an idea of how it'll look...
Latino-Review has a piece up about the new Spider-Man costume, and while they don't go into a lot of detail, it does sound pretty interesting. Apparently this version of the suit is going to be red and black, and they've used the piece of artwork below (which is from 2012 and was apparently "found by a source with access to the Spider-Man costume as a way of legally reporting on how it looked") to give us a better idea as to what we should expect when Spidey makes his MCU debut.
While they point out that this fan-art should only give us a very rough idea as to what we should expect, this is certainly in keeping with what Kevin Feige said about Peter Parker donning a homemade suit. As the site's source is only using this as a guide, there will no doubt be some major differences between this and the final product. Unlike the costumes in both Sam Raimi and Marc Webb's movies - both of which were very comic book faithful - this actually looks like something a teenager could make on a limited budget (bear in mind that cosplayers spend thousands).
It's fair to say that most of us probably expected Marvel to go for something a little closer to the source material, but as the "Sony Hack" emails indicated that Peter ends up in the Iron Spider suit by the time the credits roll, this is a look which probably won't be around for long. How would you feel about something like this being Spider-Man's look next year? As always, let us know below.
