I will never understand the hardon people have for the Raimi movies.

@Spock0Clock - I enjoyed them for what they are but definitely not my favorite or in my opinion the best. I also don't understand the huge pull it has on some but that is simply the beauty of peoples differentiating differences.

I tried to watch one the other day just to see if over time I would feel differently and nope still can't. But at the same token I prefer what we have now with Tom Holland and feel this is the best iteration we have had and like what I am seeing and the character development they are taking there time to develop.

My ranking is Tom, Andrew, Toby.. sorry not sorry.

@KyloBen - Is it really a mystery why people would love an adorable goofball like this...

...over a shrieking weirdo diva whose acting swings wildly between ugly-crying, ugly-screaming, and glassy-eyed stoner?

@Spock0Clock - It's almost like i'm speaking about the character. Not the godamn actor.

...Dude, that is Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker.

@Spock0Clock - Oh, see, now you have seriously hurt your own arguement. Now it looks like you only hate tobeys character because you dislike Tobey Maguire.

And you must be pretty stupid if you think Peter in the movies anything like that. Apart from his Venom scenes. He is mostly Kind, polite, and god forbid ugly crying over your friend dying. False moves friend.

@KyloBen - I have to agree in that you have to separate the actor from the onscreen character.

@cjspade - Thank you. I'm not saying Tom is a bad spiderman either. He is a great spidey. As is Andrew. All the spiderman is good. I do think Tobey is the most spiderman in feel though, as Tom's is too mcu centric.

But it's still early days.

@KyloBen - Let's all be real for a moment and realize that Toby/Andrew/Tom's versions are simply the extension of how the character was written. However keeping the reference to the actor themselves makes these conversations easier.

With that being said I don't agree with Toby being the most spidey in feel as I don't remember in the many comics where it felt like he constantly whined or cried as frequently in which he actually does throughout the movies. Granted major loses I understand but if you go back and watch the dialogue sheesh.

I also will agree it is hard to truly compare Tom because we are watching Spidey in an area we never spent a huge amount of time in thus far, barely with Toby for a split second, more with Andrew, and now the most hands down with Tom. I also feel that we are seeing true character progression and development with Tom that I also feel was not a prominent with Toby and Andrew.
