Marc Webb and his cast are back in New York City for some additional shooting. Yesterday Andrew Garfield was spotted filming a scene at an abandoned railroad in Brooklyin. Apparently Peter Parker is talking with someone on the phone - possibly Gwen Stacy, since Emma Stone was also spotted close to that location - while he walks away from the railroad tunnel. The tunnel location indicates that this scene happens somewhere around the railroad sequence that appears in the trailer, where Peter seeemingly discovers his father's secret lab.

"We've always known that Spider-Man's most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp."

The Amazing Spider-Man's greatest battle begins in May 2nd, 2014.

I do believe The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is the most anticipated superhero film of 2014, yes. The marketing for TASM2 has been pretty awesome, the YouTube views of the trailer are bigger than any other trailer released for any other blockbuster this year and there's simply a genuine feeling of excitement all over this film. I believe that without been sandwiched between The Avengers and the capper of The Dark Knight trilogy, Spider-Man will once again shine, maybe more than ever, since I feel this has the potential to become one of the best superhero films ever.

Thanks for not calling it "reshoots".

@ruadh

Reshoot is when you are reshooting the same scene over again. When you go back but doesn't reshoot, it's actually an additional shoot. I'm not arguing they aren't doing reshoots, it's entirely possible and even likely they are, but we don't have any confirmation on that front.

Judging from what we've seen, this is probably after the scene where he enters the abandoned train station and into his fathers secret lab. I'm pretty sure he is wearing the same clothes seen in the trailer aswell.

I am just putting it out there, while there are some issues, I enjoy Andrew Garfield's version of Parker. I wish they had done a little more with the Lizard/Conners look, instead of the Koopa head from the Mario Bros Movie, but once they explained that it was just planned as an "Early Transformation" I didn't mind it. I am very excited about this movie, even if they modified Max Dillon's story line a little. Is it the "most anticipated"? I would disagree. I would say that Winter Soldier, Days of Future Past and the Guardian of the Galaxy are above Spider-man in my personal anticipation book.

However 2 of the 3 could easily be overshadowed by Guardians of the Galaxy and Spider-man 2 but I find it unlikey.

Meh, pretty standard nowadays for add-ons and reshoots. Movie is gonna kick ass though. And I don't want Gwen to die in this movie. I fell that if she does die, it'll be too close to the end of the movie, and there won't be enough time for the required Spidey rage. I'd prefer if it ends on a bridge-hanger(see what I did there) and the Gwen death happens at the beginning of TASM3. Just my 2 cents.

seems like every major film does reshoots now
I don't blame them its hard plotting everything out on paper without visuals

^ Well to be fair, if you rewatch TASM and his previous films, he's got a big ass head and a giraffe neck. He's sorta bulked up so he looks better but yeah.
