The cast of Sony Pictures 'The Amazing Spiderman 2' gathered for a live google highlight chat teasing the future of their characters and answering fan questions.
Here are some highlights and interesting points from the chat with director Marc Webb and cast Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx and Dane DeHann.
Marc Webb said of the possible introduction of the Daily Bugles ruthless editor J. Jonah Jameson: 'I like the idea very much of him coming up in one of the next films' but he says of recasting the role made iconic by J K Simmons 'It was more easier to accept the new Spiderman than somebody who can out do J K Simmons in that role.
Fear not however as Webb is a great fan of the character as he says 'its an idea we kind of talked about cause I love that character and he poses a very interesting dilemma for Spiderman.' Before confirming the truth is he 'doesn't know' but adds 'yeah I think you could expect to see that in the future.'
It was always the inevitable but its reassuring to know that the character is all but a done deal to appear in the franchise.
When Jamie Foxx was asked about his influences on his role as Electro he listed Clint Eastwood and Alec Baldwins performances but Max Dhillon was based on a friend who 'was sort of a mommas boy, late 30s, kept to himself but very smart'. However, the actor did reveal that he came up with the idea of the comb over as he wanted to be 'the first black guy with a comb over in a movie.'
Continuing with Jamie Foxx, when asked about a future return as Electro he was open to the idea saying he would return but wearing a new suit and adding he 'would be more than happy to get in to it.'
So would you like to see Electro return as part of the Sinister Six or would you rather have new characters appear tell me below and sound off your other thoughts and comments.
